The extraction method includes: providing the Hibiscus sabdariffa L. TAITUNG NO. 6 that is dried as a raw material for extraction; pulverizing the raw material; mixing the raw material that is pulverized with an extraction solvent for primary extraction, so as to obtain a Hibiscus sabdariffa L. TAITUNG NO. 6 primary extract; performing ultrasonic extraction on the Hibiscus sabdariffa L. TAITUNG NO. 6 primary extract, so as to obtain a Hibiscus sabdariffa L. TAITUNG NO. 6 extract; and filtering the Hibiscus sabdariffa L. TAITUNG NO. 6 extract.

METHOD OF USING SONOCHEMICAL ACTIVACTION TO FORM META-STABLE SUBSTANCES

A method for forming a coated particle having a core particle that is fully coated by a dual-layer coating that includes an inner layer formed of a hydrophilic composition and an outer layer formed of a hydrophobic polymer. The core particles are added to a hydrophilic solution and mixed together. The hydrophobic polymer is then added to form a mixture. The mixture is sonicated to coat the particles and the coated particles are separated and dried to form meta-stable coated particles.

20170050044 · 2017-02-23 ·

Described are methods, kits, apparatus, and compositions for integumentary system therapy. For example, a method for therapy may include providing a subject in need of therapy for a condition. The condition may be associated with a substrate located in the subject's integumentary system. The method may include contacting a therapeutic agent and the substrate in the subject's integumentary system. The method may include modulating a depth of at least one ionic species in the subject's integumentary system. The at least one ionic species may include one or more of: the therapeutic agent; a bound therapeutic agent:substrate complex; and a reaction product of one or both of the therapeutic agent and the substrate. The method may be effective to at least partly ameliorate the condition in the subject.

It is herein described a gel composition for topical use comprising active ingredients for the prevention of oxidative stress damage due to sun exposure and for the prevention of skin tumours. The invention relates in particular to a composition containing a glyceric extract of Vitis vinifera obtained from the pomace of the Nero di Troia vine and xanthan gum, optionally with the addition of sunscreens, wherein, optionally, the glyceric extract is obtained by ultrasound extraction.

STABLE, LOW VISCOSITY OIL-IN-WATER EMULSIONS FOR SKIN CONDITIONING

A novel cosmetic skin care composition is provided which comprises a low viscosity oil-in-water emulsion which is stable despite having a high proportion of oil. The invented formulations are suitable for application to all skin, with several embodiments described herein being configured to be particularly beneficial for hard-to-reach areas like the scalp. A method of formulating said composition as a low viscosity stable emulsion is also provided.

Treatment intervals for use of compositions comprising energy absorbing materials for dermatological applications

The present invention provides compositions comprising energy (e.g., light) absorbing submicron particles (e.g., nanoparticles comprising a silica core and a gold shell) and methods for delivering such particles via topical application. This delivery is facilitated by application of mechanical agitation (e.g. massage), acoustic vibration in the range of 10 Hz-20 kHz, ultrasound, alternating suction and pressure, and microjets. The method of treatment is performed and then, depending upon the desired clinical outcome, repeated after a treatment response interval has elapsed.
