An architectural structure in accordance with the invention comprises at least one substantially planar component in the form of a wall (9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16), floor or ceiling, the at least one planar component comprising a plurality of identically sized right angled panels A each having the form of a 30°-60°-90° right angled triangles and a plurality of identically sized isosceles panels B each having the form of a 30°-120°-30° isosceles triangle. The invention may provide a building (11) which is constructed from a relatively small selection of prefabricated components, but which provides an architect with a relatively large degree of flexibility in the design of the structure. The invention may also permit a building (11) to be assembled without a binder or other fastenings between the majority of the components and therefore assist in the efficient deconstruction of the building, either at the end of its life or if the building is to be modified or rebuilt.

The present invention relates to a damping system that utilizes a space between an inner building and a stair chamber installed outside the inner building to control vibration of an earthquake applied to a building or a building structure, and more particularly, to a damping system utilizing a space between a stair chamber and an inner building, which is installed in a building structure including the inner building and the stair chamber to damp a transverse force due to seismic waves.

BUILDING COMPLEX

A building complex consisting of multi-storey ring-shaped buildings (R) is described, said ring-shaped buildings having sectors (1) which are trapezoidal in plan view, form a regular polygon ring and enclose a courtyard having a central stairwell (4), the storeys (3) of said sectors being uniformly offset from one another in the height direction and being connected to the stairwell (4) by passages (5) which run in a spoke-like fashion, said stairwell having a staircase which circulates in the direction of ascent of the storeys and which has a height of ascent (a) between the passages (5) corresponding to the storey offset (h). In order to connect the individual ring-shaped buildings (R) to one another, it is proposed that, in the case of ring-shaped buildings (R) comprising an even-numbered polygon ring, the mutually identical ring-shaped buildings (R) are arranged at the vertices of a polygon corresponding to the polygon ring and, in the case of ring-shaped buildings (R) comprising an odd-numbered polygon ring, said ring-shaped buildings are arranged in an alternating fashion, in each case offset through an angle of 180°, at the vertices of a polygon having twice the number of vertices, and that the ring-shaped buildings (R) following one another along the polygon are connected by passages (6) which run between the storeys (3) of the mutually opposite connecting sectors with a corresponding storey offset.

Clothing for a machine for producing a fibrous web and method for producing a clothing of this type

A covering is particularly suited for use in a machine for producing and/or finishing a paper, cardboard, tissue or pulp web. The covering has a basic structure formed as a part of a flat woven material, which flat woven material is designed as a woven material by interlacing warp threads and weft threads. The portion of the flat woven material has a plurality of sections that are formed integrally with each other, with at least one property of one of the sections differing from the respective property of at least one adjacent section.

MODULAR HOUSING SYSTEM

The invention is directed broadly to a modular housing system having a structural framework comprising an internal chassis as a core structural element, the internal chassis including: a first ladder frame that defines a base; four columns at least two being extendable columns; and a second ladder frame engaged to the first ladder frame via the four columns, such that at least one of a distance and an angle between the first ladder frame and the second ladder frame is adjustable to define a usable volume of the structural framework.
