This application describes systems and methods for locating, securing, accessing and utilizing a discrete enclosure or workspace. The discrete enclosure or workspace may be located in a public, private or semi-private setting and may comprise a combination of working platforms or surfaces, seats, desks and other apparatus, as well as computer hardware and software. Systems may comprise natural language processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and other adaptive learning capabilities to enhance the use of the discrete workspace. The workspace may be dimensioned to be used for a wide variety of activities by one or more users.

A safety portal system for use in existing building, such as schools. The safety portal system includes a first portal section. The first portal section includes a first wall and a second wall, a first open end, a floor portion and a ceiling portion, the at least one open end defined by an outer edge. In addition to the first portal section, the safety portal system includes a second portal section. The second portal section includes a first wall and a second wall, at least one open end, a floor portion and a ceiling portion. The at least one open end of the second portal section is defined by an inner edge that cooperates and engages with the outer edge of the first portal section to create a protective overlap section. A method of installing the safety portal system includes positioning the safety portal system in a desired building and assembling the safety portal system. The safety portal system can then be secured in its desired location within the building.

A flexible article is provided having a core formed from a plurality of laminar panels that are inter-connected to provide an expandable structure upon movement of the panels away from each other. Opposite ends of the core terminate in a pair of end panels whereby the end panels may be moved apart to expand the expandable structure. Each of the panels are made from wood material. The panels, for example, include two wood sheets with longitudinally oriented grains and a flexible backing sheet that is sandwiched and adhered between the two wood sheets.

A freestanding booth comprising a plurality of upstanding peripheral walls, a roof and a base upon which the booth stands in use, one of the walls defining an opening that is closed by a door, wherein the base extends along a basal edge of a plurality of the walls but does not extend across the opening.

A capsule pod sleeping chamber with a ceiling and walls adjacent to the ceiling sealing an interior space to prevent a mixture of air between the interior space and a communal space exterior to the portable enclosure. The capsule pod sleeping chamber has first duct to route supply air into the interior space from a first area that is separated from the communal space and a second duct to route exhaust air out from the interior space to a second area separated from the communal space. Lastly, the capsule pod sleeping chamber has a plurality of apertures located in at least one wall of the plurality of walls that include the first aperture opening into the first duct and the second aperture opening into the second duct.

A freestanding booth comprising upstanding peripheral walls, a roof and a base upon which the booth stands in use, one of the walls defining an opening that is closed by a door, wherein the base extends along a basal edge of a first of the walls, the first wall being fixed to the base via a first levelling assembly, the first levelling assembly comprising a first height adjustment mechanism and a second height adjustment mechanism that are spaced apart from one another in a longitudinal direction of the basal edge of the first wall and are independently adjustable for altering an angle of the basal edge of the first wall relative to the ground.

A living space is disclosed including one or more adjustable or reconfigurable rooms. A room may be made reconfigurable by including fixed walls and a frame that is mounted to move in a first direction between a first position coextensive with the fixed walls and a second position that is extended relative to the fixed walls. The room may further include panels mounted in the frame configured to move in a second direction, orthogonal to the first direction, to seal off a front of the room. In examples, the panels may store against the frame when not in use.

A modular system for creating a temporary plurality of individual living spaces, may include a plurality of anchors, where pairs of anchors create opposing sides of a personal space. A frame may be positioned between the pairs of anchors to create a bedding structure. The anchors may also provide storage space, lights, power source, among other features of a living area. A covering may be used between the pairs of anchors to separate the living space from the rest of the space to improve individual privacy.

A transportable breakroom box is disclosed that comprises: a box as a breakroom having a floor space equal to or less than ten square meters; a sliding door; a vaporization filter; a water storage tank that stores water to be supplied to the vaporization filter; and a water supply pump; an exhaust blower; and, one or both of a hanging hook used for hanging, the hanging hook being provided on a shingle of the box, and a floor beam to which forks of a forklift truck can be hooked, wherein, the exhaust blower sucks and discharges air in the box, and sucks outside air through the vaporization filter, and water supplied to the vaporization filter and dripped down from the vaporization filter is collected in the water storage tank.

The present invention provides a platform, system and devices for testing or screening individuals for symptoms of disease, exposure to chemicals or biohazards. The device may be configured similar to the appearance of familiar airport screening devices, but may be configured for use in a people moving device or a walkway. The present device assays volatile compounds, especially volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitting from a subject person, group or item. Different VOCs are produced dependent on metabolic changes in response to pathogenic, chemical, or biological stresses. Nanosensor elements within the device provide assessments of multiple VOCs to the platform with its integrated analysis capacities that rapidly compare instant data to a developed database. Each chamber may participate in an interconnected system sharing data for continuous improvement of assay procedures and comparison results.
