Chemical and Biohazard Vehicle Survivability Barrier Systems and Methods

A chemical/biological vehicle survivability barrier (CVSB) has an inflatable air beam shelter (IABS), also referred to as a tunnel-like enclosure, for inserting and coupling to the interior of a vehicle. The CVSB further has at least one air handling and power unit (AHPU) coupled to an exterior fitting of the IABS. The AHPU withdraws potentially contaminated air from inside the tunnel-like enclosure, filtrates the air by removing contaminants from the air withdrawn, and returns the filtrated air back into the tunnel-like enclosure.

ANTIMICROBIAL PREVENTIVE NETTING
20220061318 · 2022-03-03 ·

An antimicrobial preventive netting is disclosed that includes one or more photosensitizers that are capable of generating a cloud of singlet oxygen on each surface and openings through the netting in response to incident light. A depth of the singlet oxygen cloud may be less than 0.7 centimeters from a netting surface. The netting may be supported by screens, enclosures or headgear. The netting can be made by dipping or soaking the netting in a solution of one or more photosensitizers.

MODULAR SHELTER PODS
20220042342 · 2022-02-10 ·

A modular shelter pod and system are described herein. In one example, a pod may be formed by a number of foldable or detachable panels, where a first panel includes at least four cavities at first locations having a first shape and a first cross section. A second panel may include at least four tabs at second locations corresponding to the first locations, and having a second shape and a second cross section that fits into and engages the at least four first cavities, such that the at least four tabs engage the at least four cavities to resist movement between different pods when arranged vertically. The pod may additionally include a third panel removably connecting the first panel and the second panel and forming an opening defining a cleaning port that is sealable, where the cleaning port is shaped to removably engage a cleaning device.

FIELD DEPLOYABLE MODULAR DECONTAMINATION STATION

A field deployable modular decontamination station includes a frame with a plurality of sprayers. The frame includes side panels and a top panel. The side panels and the top panel are configured to be attached together to create the frame. The side panels and the top panel are configured to be folded or disassembled for transportation or shipping. The plurality of sprayers are attached on an inside of the frame. The plurality of sprayers is configured to decontaminate a person or an object inside of the frame.

COLLAPSIBLE INFECTIOUS DISEASE ISOLATION TENT AND METHOD OF OPERATION

A collapsible isolation tent assembly includes a collapsible frame assembly, a flexible skin of impermeable material, and an air exchange arrangement, and further an air pump configured for being connected to the air exchange arrangement to effect a unidirectional air flow through the air exchange arrangement. The air pump has a pump capacity within the range of 85 per minute through 20,000 liters per minute. Openings in the flexible skin or around edges of the collapsible tent allow for an air flow compensating for the unidirectional air flow created by the air pump, and the collapsible isolation tent has a footprint dimensioned to be placed on a support surface for an individual patient, for example a hospital bed. A method for preventing air containing airborne pathogens from contaminating a surrounding space or the interior of the isolation tent involves operating an air pump in fluid communication with the collapsible tent.

SANITIZATION BOOTH

A tent comprising an exposed surface and an antimicrobial substance applied to the exposed surface. The tent can further include an interior. The exposed surface can be disposed within the interior. The tent can include a fabric. The fabric can provide the exposed surface. The tent can be a medical center. The antimicrobial substance can be a silane quaternary ammonium ion or salt thereof. The silane quaternary ammonium ion can be one or more of: 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium ion, 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride, 3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium ion, and 3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride.

SAFETY SHOWERS AND EYE-WASHING APPARATUS

An apparatus and method for remote monitoring and data capture in an emergency washing apparatus adapted for generating a controlled spray or jet of water directed at a user for washing therewith. A washing unit includes a water inlet and one or more water outlets arranged for forming a spray or jet of water received from the water inlet. One or more sensors is configured to sense one or more properties of the water received at the water inlet selected from: a water flow rate, a water pressure, a water temperature, a water pH level, a bacteria content. The one or more sensors are configured to generate a representative measurement signal indicating a value of the one or more sensed properties of the water, and to transmit the measurement signal for reception locally at, or remotely from, the washing unit.

Sanitization booth

The invention provides a sanitization booth 10 has side walls 12 approximately twice as long as it's entrance and exit openings 14, 16 are wide to permit a person to step into the booth and pass therethrough while being sprayed or misted with a sanitization or disinfection liquid, from above 18, below 20, and the sides 22 by liquid sanitizer pumped through a reticulation pipe system 24 and through nozzles 26 along the extent thereof, thereby to sanitize the person, their clothing, as well as their footwear including the soles thereof. The booth 10 includes a hand sanitization point 28 at the entrance 14 to the booth 10 so that the person who has been sanitized by passing through the booth also sanitizes their hands which have been used to cover their eyes while in the booth. The invention also provides a sanitization system and a kit for assembly of a sanitization apparatus.
