Each nominal inventory portions includes a prefabricated base portion, and a prefabricated tier section for assembly to the base portion. The prefabricated base portion is positioned on a ground surface of a public performance space. The prefabricated tier section is fastened to the prefabricated base portion to form a self supporting structure that does not require lateral support from a building structure other than the ground surface.

The use of a rigid chain lifting system (150) means that the scissors (130) are provided for guidance rather than applying load. The scissor lift (100) can be used in conjunction with one or more passive scissors (200), couplable to the scissor lift (100).

A collapsible mobile stage may be folded into a configuration and the shape of a trailer that may be hauled by a truck. The collapsible mobile stage includes an elevated framework supported by telescoping columns. The elevated framework may be used to support lighting, audio and visual systems. The mobile stage also provides seating for an audience on either side of a central stage supported by a platform. The platform includes a central segment between two opposing lateral segments. The lateral segments may be folded up to form the sides of a trailer while the central segment forms the bottom of the trailer. Audience seating sections may be folded over the platform segments to create the roof of the trailer. Audience seating as well as the elevated framework may be stored within the trailer or within a secondary trailer.

A seating unit of a modular seating system, said seating unit comprising: a first lateral member comprising a first mounting arrangement; a second lateral member opposing said first lateral member and comprising a second mounting arrangement; a seat support member having a longitudinal support axis extending through said first lateral member and said second lateral member; and a seat articulated to said seat support member; wherein said first mounting arrangement is configured for coupling to said second mounting arrangement of a second lateral member of a neighboring identical seating unit, so as to attach said seating unit and said neighboring seating unit to each other; and wherein said seat support member has a first end associated with said first lateral member and an opposite second end associated with said second lateral member.
