SYSTEM FOR REVERSIBLY CONVERTING STADIUMS INTO MULTIFUNCTIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE
A system for reversibly converting stadiums into multifunctional infrastructure by removing the pitch and storing it in a pit (6), the pitch having a set of trays (1) having a total length equal to the pitch in a longitudinal direction of the pit, which are moveable, self-supporting and have layers of soil, irrigation and turf; a set of transport trolleys (2) for lifting and moving each tray (1) from its position on the pitch to the pit (6); a set of retractable trellises (5) that can be unfolded on the pit (6), for the entry of each tray (1) from above the pit; an elevator system (8) inside the pit (6) to move each tray to its final position, in storage, or on the pitch; and a storage system (7) for storing each tray in a fixed and stable position.
AN ENTERTAINMENT VENUE
An entertainment venue comprising a performance area and a spectator area surrounding the performance area, wherein the spectator area includes a static spectator portion and a dynamic spectator portion, the dynamic spectator portion including a track substrate defining a continuous loop around the performance area, a plurality of spectator pods adapted for movement around the loop relative to the track substrate; and a platform located adjacent to the track substrate, wherein each pod is spaced from and not physically connected to a neighbouring pod; and each pod includes at least one proximity sensor connected to a controller, the controller being adapted to maintain a predetermined minimum spacing between adjacent pods when the pods are in motion and/or detect a foreign object located between adjacent pods

Removable roof device
The removable roof system includes a set of guy ropes (10), each of the guy ropes extending between a top anchor point (2) and a bottom anchor point (3) of a structure to be covered, a velum (1) mobile between a deployed configuration in which the velum covers the structure to be covered and a retracted configuration in which the structure to be covered is uncovered, and a set of carriages (20) to which the velum is attached, arranged so as to be moved along the guy ropes of the set of guy ropes between the top and bottom anchor points in order to cause the velum to pass between its deployed and retracted configurations and comprising for each of the guy ropes of the set of guy ropes at least one motorized carriage, at least one motorized carriage cooperating with the associated guy rope by meshing or by alternating wedging.
ARENA WITH CONFIGURABLE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS FOR SELECTIVELY PROVIDING VIEWING ACCESS TO AN EVENT FLOOR FROM AN EVENT LEVEL HOSPITALITY AREA
The present invention relates to arenas with selectively configurable seating arrangements for selectively providing viewing access to an event floor from an event level hospitality area. The arena includes a plurality of seats, at least some of which are removable. The plurality of seats is selectively arrangeable in tiered seating sections around the event floor to define one of a first seating arrangement and a second seating arrangement. The tiered seating sections include first and second opposing curved seating sections, and first and second spaced apart straight seating sections. The first straight seating section is located in front of the hospitality area. When the seats are selectively arranged in the first seating arrangement, the first and second straight seating sections are disposed generally parallel to each other and extend between the first and second curved seating sections so as to define an obround distribution of seats around the event floor; and viewing access of the event floor from the hospitality area is impeded by the first straight seating section. When the seats are selectively arranged in the second seating arrangement, the first straight seating section and the first curved seating section are omitted leaving the second straight seating section extending to the second curved seating section; and viewing access of the event floor from the hospitality area is unobstructed.
Shooting Stalls and Ranges Including Air Permeable Barrier
A shooting stall includes a first wall, a second wall, and an air permeable barrier. The first wall includes an upstream end, a downstream end, and a side surface that extends between the upstream end and the downstream end. The second wall is disposed substantially parallel to the first wall, and the second wall includes an upstream end, a downstream end, and a side surface facing the first wall that extends between the upstream end and the downstream end. The air permeable member is disposed between the first wall and the second wall.
NOVEL SYSTEM AND METHOD ADAPTED TO ENABLE SIMULTANEOUS PLAY OF ONE OR MORE SPORTS GAMES IN THE SAME FACILITY WITH AUTOMATED BALL DELIVERY, TRACKING AND COLLECTION
The present invention comprises a unique system and method for providing adaptable ball delivery and tracking, including appropriate sensor hardware, interactive gameplay user interfaces and point of sales systems. The system and method of the present invention are especially relevant to baseball and softball as, among other components, the system comprises a vertical, ground-up soft toss ball delivery mechanism, automated player and ball-tracking devices, and ball-collection and transport systems. The ball collection and return components eliminate the need for “fielders” and enable the creation of the first “batting range”. The vertical, ground-up soft-toss pitch machine further enables the first multi-story batting facility with player batting bays that open onto a sports field. Further, certain embodiments of the present invention integrate hitting screens, augmented reality display and simultaneous coordination of gameplay and communication between players, regardless of the players' physical location.
