SYSTEM FOR SANITIZING AND CLARIFYING WATER, AND RELATED COMPONENTS AND METHODS
A method for sanitizing and clarifying water includes: 1) pumping water through a filter component of a system, a conditioner component the system, an ionizer component of the system, a UV component of the system, and an ozone component of the system; 2) trapping particulates suspended in the water; 3) exposing the water to a magnetic field to polarize the water and promote clathrate formation in the water; 4) injecting metal ions into the water; 5) exposing the water to ultraviolet electromagnetic radiation; and 6) injecting ozone into the water.
Systems and Methods for Providing Network Connectivity and Remote Monitoring, Optimization, and Control of Pool/Spa Equipment
Systems and methods for providing network connectivity and remote monitoring, optimization, and control of pool/spa equipment are provided. Internet-of-Things (IoT) functionality is provided for pool and spa equipment in a flexible and cost-effective manner. Network connectivity and remote monitoring/control of pool and spa equipment is provided by various components such as a network communication and local control subsystem installed in pool/spa equipment, and other components. Also disclosed are various control processes (pool logic) which can be embodied as software code installed in any of the various embodiments of the present disclosure.
CHLORINATION SYSTEMS
Chlorinators with multiple spaced gas traps and flow sensors are detailed. The sensors also may be protected, at least somewhat, from contact with scale build ups by interposition of a mechanical barrier. Ramps or other geometric restrictions may be used to increase water flow to some or all of the gas traps. Additionally, the chlorinator housing may be configured so as to route, or focus, gases toward a small-sized, high point thereof.

Chlorinators and Replaceable Cell Cartridges Therefor
A chlorinator system for pools or spas is disclosed. The chlorinator system includes a replaceable chlorinator cell cartridge having built in sensors, switches, and custom connections. The chlorinator system includes a controller, a chlorinator, a replaceable cell cartridge, and compression fittings for connecting the chlorinator to piping of a pool or spa system. The cartridge includes a body, a bi-directional flow switch, a connector plug, a lid, a printed circuit board, which includes non-volatile memory, and electrically-charged plates or blades.
Floating weir basket for use in pool skimmers
A floating pool skimmer (1) that randomly travels across the surface of a pool to ensure that the entire surface of the water in the pool is cleaned. The floating pool skimmer has an elongated hose (3) that attaches to a conventional fixed pool skimmer, a vacuum inlet and/or a vacuum hose (6) connecting an automatic pool vacuum (2) to a pool pump and filter. A basket (26) held within a main housing (8) strains water and traps debris which is held in the basket by suction from the pool filter while the pool filter is operational.

Composition and method for water conditioning
A water conditioning composition includes water; at least one gluconate compound; at least one carbonate compound; a non-ionic preservative; and a phosphate buffer. For example, the composition can include 87-95 wt. % water; 0.5 to 1.5 wt. % gluconate compound; 3 to 8 wt. % carbonate compound; 0.5 to 1.5 wt. % non-ionic preservative; and 0.5 to 2.5 wt. % phosphate buffer.
Grasping container lid and applications thereof
A container lid with a finger entry section, a thumb entry section, a grasping section, and a mating section. The finger entry section includes a finger opening for receiving at least one finger of a hand. The thumb entry section includes a thumb opening for receiving a thumb of the hand. The grasping section is coupled to the finger entry section and the thumb entry section. The grasping section functions to grasp an item when compressed via the finger entry section and the thumb entry section and collectively prevent the finger(s) and the thumb from making direct contact with the item. The mating section is coupled to the finger entry section, the thumb entry section, and/or the grasping section and functions to mate the container lid with a container body.
Pumping system with two way communication
A pumping system for moving water of a swimming pool includes a water pump, a variable speed motor, and an arrangement for controlling the variable speed motor. The pumping system further includes an auxiliary device operably connected to the arrangement for controlling, which is capable of receiving a parameter from the auxiliary device. The arrangement for controlling is capable of independently controlling the variable speed motor without receipt of a parameter from the auxiliary device. In addition or alternatively, the arrangement for controlling is operable to selectively alter operation of the motor based upon the parameter.
