Natatorium dehumidifier
The present invention provides improved dehumidification and/or air conditioning systems, and associated methods and equipment, for example for use in a natatorium housing a swimming pool, or other buildings which may enclose sources of humidity or otherwise resulting in a need for air treatment.
MOTOR ROTOR FOR WATER PUMP, WATER PUMP, AND POOL CIRCULATION SYSTEM
A motor rotor for a water pump, a water pump, and a pool circulation system are provided. The motor rotor comprises a hollow rotatable shaft having a first injection-molded part, and a magnet disposed circumferentially around a portion of the first injection-molded part. The first injection-molded part extends through an entire axial length of the magnet. The motor rotor also comprises an impeller integrally formed with the first injection-molded part, the impeller being located at an axial end of the hollow rotatable shaft. The motor rotor further comprises a shaft sleeve having a tubular shape located in the hollow rotatable shaft and extending substantially the entire axial length of the hollow rotatable shaft. The water pump has a simple structure, is easy to assemble, is less prone to generating noise during operation, and has a long service life.
Programmable Temperature Control System For Pools And Spas
A system and method are provided for controlling water temperature in a body of water. The temperature control system includes a processor, a user interface for receiving a desired temperature and a desired time for reaching the desired temperature, a sensor interface for receiving sensor information from one or more sensors, and an actuator interface for controlling a plurality of heat sources. The processor determines one or more optimal heat sources for heating the body of water to the desired temperature by the desired time. The processor controls the one or more optimal heat sources through the actuator interface and periodically polls the sensor interface to determine whether changes in the operating environment require additional or alternate heat sources to be activated to ensure that the body of water is heated to the desired temperature by the desired time.
System and method for controlling a heat pump for a swimming pool
A swimming pool heating system, including a heat pump and control of the compressor of the heat pump according to a number of non-zero power levels, is detailed. The system includes, for example, three power levels, the first level being close to 40% of the maximum compressor speed, the second level being close to 70% of the maximum compressor speed, and the third level being close to 100% of the maximum compressor speed.
System for Increasing Solar Panel Cooling Efficiency
A system and method for cooling a solar panel to increase its efficiency is provided. The solar panel cooling system includes a plurality of heat transfer plates having central channels. Heat transfer pipes are disposed in the central channels and thermally bonded to the heat transfer plates. The heat transfer plates and heat transfer pipes are in turn thermally bonded to the back side of a solar panel. Water is then pumped through the heat transfer pipes and acts to cool the solar panel. The cool water is preferably pumped from a swimming pool and then returned to a swimming pool once heated by the solar panel in order to simultaneously cool the solar panel and heat the swimming pool.
PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE URBAN BEACH ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX WITH A CENTERPIECE MAN-MADE TROPICAL-STYLE LAGOON AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING EFFICIENT UTILIZATION OF LIMITED USE LAND
A publicly accessible urban beach entertainment complex is disclosed, with a man-made tropical, pristine-clear lagoon as the centerpiece of the complex, with surrounding entertainment, educational, sports, and commercial facilities, the complex having controlled public access and providing the look and feel of a tropical beach with clear waters and sandy beaches. In addition a method for efficiently utilizing facilities and land that are vacant, underutilized, have limited uses, or that are contiguous to or nearby recreational, educational, sports, or commercial venues is disclosed. The method providing a publicly accessible urban beach entertainment complex with a centerpiece man-made tropical-style pristine-clear lagoon. The method allows for generating revenue and increasing efficiency by pairing vacant sites, underutilized sites, limited use land, or sites that are contiguous to entertainment, educational, sports, and/or commercial venues with urban beach entertainment complexes. The complex preferably has a controlled public access, thereby allowing entrance upon payment of a fee.
Temperature controlled structure assembly
A temperature controlled structure assembly comprises an array of structural panels each including at least one channel formed therein. At least one channel of each of the structural panels is aligned with at least one of the channels of an adjacent one of the structural panels to form a continuous channel extending through the array of the structural panels. At least one functional panel overlays the array of structural panels and is exposed for contact with a user. At least one heat exchanging element is disposed within the continuous channel and configured to exchange heat with the at least one functional panel in order to heat or cool the at least one functional panel.
PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE URBAN BEACH ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX INCLUDING A SURF FEATURE WITH A CENTERPIECE MAN-MADE TROPICAL-STYLE LAGOON AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING EFFICIENT UTILIZATION OF LIMITED USE LAND
