A tanning ledge insert for a swimming pool is provided. In various embodiments, the tanning ledge includes a fiberglass insert that is adapted for use within the context of a vinyl liner pool. A depth of the tanning ledge may be, for example, between 14 and 16 inches. However, in other embodiments, the tanning ledge may be of any other suitable depth. The tanning ledge insert may include a vertical wall and a tanning ledge extending horizontally from the vertical wall. A step may be disposed adjacent the tanning ledge's upper surface. The tanning ledge insert may include a connection lip that is dimensioned for use in securing the tanning ledge insert in place within the structure of a vinyl liner pool. Methods of installing and replacing the tanning ledge insert are also provided.

A modular swimming pool includes a precast base unit and a precast riser unit that can be assembled at an installation site to define an interior volume in which a human can swim. The precast riser unit is secured to the base unit. The upper surface of the precast base unit and at least one internal surface of the precast riser unit define the interior volume of the modular pool when the precast base unit and the precast riser unit are secured together. One or more embodiments of a device for providing a structure for a person to enter and exit a pool and support plumbing for the pool are disclosed. The structure includes a step structure, suction plumbing, and return plumbing. The step structure includes steps and a support structure configured to support the steps. The suction plumbing is fixed to the step structure and includes a first high point. The suction plumbing also includes a suction outlet below the first highpoint. The suction plumbing is arranged to pull water via the suction outlet and the first high point. The return plumbing is separate from the suction plumbing and is fixed to the step structure. The return plumbing includes a second high point and a return outlet. The return plumbing is arranged to output water via the second high point and the return outlet.

A publicly accessible urban beach entertainment complex is disclosed, with a man-made tropical, pristine-clear lagoon as the centerpiece of the complex, with surrounding entertainment, educational, sports, and commercial facilities, the complex having controlled public access and providing the look and feel of a tropical beach with clear waters and sandy beaches. In addition a method for efficiently utilizing facilities and land that are vacant, underutilized, have limited uses, or that are contiguous to or nearby recreational, educational, sports, or commercial venues is disclosed. The method providing a publicly accessible urban beach entertainment complex with a centerpiece man-made tropical-style pristine-clear lagoon. The method allows for generating revenue and increasing efficiency by pairing vacant sites, underutilized sites, limited use land, or sites that are contiguous to entertainment, educational, sports, and/or commercial venues with urban beach entertainment complexes. The complex preferably has a controlled public access, thereby allowing entrance upon payment of a fee.

The disclosure provides for pool step forms and related methods for forming steps in a pool formed by wall panels. The step forms may include a wall panel insert configured for insertion between adjacent pool wall panels. The step forms may include one or more step form brace configured to couple with the wall panel insert and, thereby, the wall panels. The step forms may include riser forms that from riser portions of the stairs when the step forms and riser forms are coupled. The pool stair forms may be filled with filling material to form tread portions of the stairs. The pool stair forms may include liner support members coupled to the step form braces and/or the wall panels that facilitate the coupling of a liner to the stairs formed by the pool stair forms and filling material.

A pole support removably attachable to pole of a pool/spa maintenance tool to prevent the maintenance tool from slipping and falling into the pool. The pole support includes a support base, a pair of outriggers extending upwards and outwards from the support base, and an adjustable fastener system for attaching the support base to selective areas along the longitudinal outer surface of the pole.
