SECURITY LADDER FOR A POOL
A safety ladder for a pool includes a movable ladder portion that can be moved between an accessible position and an inaccessible position. The movable ladder portion is disposed substantially outside of the pool and provides a series of steps that can be climbed vertically for entry into the pool when it is located in the accessible position. In the inaccessible position, the movable ladder portion is moved such that the steps can no longer be climbed and access to the pool is prevented. Such safety ladder assemblies are provided primarily to prevent children and other at risk individuals from entering an unattended pool. A dampening member is provided such that the force necessary to move the movable ladder portion is regulated to prevent a dangerous accumulation of moment and limit a risk of injury through harmful contact therewith.
POOL STEP STRUCTURE WITH INTEGRATED PLUMBING
One or more embodiments of a device for providing a structure for a person to enter and exit a pool and support plumbing for the pool are disclosed. The structure includes a step structure, suction plumbing, and return plumbing. The step structure includes steps and a support structure configured to support the steps. The suction plumbing is fixed to the step structure and includes a first high point. The suction plumbing also includes a suction outlet below the first highpoint. The suction plumbing is arranged to pull water via the suction outlet and the first high point. The return plumbing is separate from the suction plumbing and is fixed to the step structure. The return plumbing includes a second high point and a return outlet. The return plumbing is arranged to output water via the second high point and the return outlet.
Underwater platform installation in an existing swimming pool
A retro-fit installation modifies the existing pool ladder structure of an existing in-ground or above-ground swimming pool to support an underwater “swim out” platform structure. In some versions, the ladder rails of the existing pool ladder are used to support the underwater platform, while in others the existing pool ladder rails are replaced with new tubular platform rails specifically designed to support the underwater platform structure. Other versions are adapted for installations in a round pool or at a corner of a rectangular pool.
DEVICE FOR PREVENTION OF LADDER USE
The invention, according to an embodiment, is a foldable, adjustable, and lockable cover for a plurality of rungs of a ladder. The device renders a ladder prohibitively difficult to climb. In an embodiment, the device is attached to a ladder using a lock, such as a bike lock or padlock, at a top portion of the device, rendering it difficult to for an unauthorized user to climb the ladder to cut any lock holding the device in place and/or remove the ladder.
URBAN TRANSFORMATION AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR CREATING A PUBLIC ACCESS TROPICAL STYLE SWIMMING LAGOON WITH BEACHES WITHIN VACANT OR ABANDONED SITES
An urban transformation and construction method is disclosed that creates a tropical style swimming lagoon at vacant and/or abandoned sites. The transformation includes demolishing at least part of the vacant or abandoned site, excavating material from within the site; forming a basin for a large water body having a surface area of at least 3,000 m2, and constructing water containment walls on a first section of the basin to form a waterfront perimeter. The shape of the waterfront perimeter is mainly curved, the basin has a maximum width of 300 meters, and the bottom is covered with a non-permeable material. A sloped access area is constructed in a second section of the basin to form a beach. A barrier is constructed to control access into the area including the beach. At least one recreational facility is constructed including restaurants, bars, kiosks, stores, and/or cafes about the waterfront perimeter.
Pool stair forms and methods of forming pool stairs
The disclosure provides for pool step forms and related methods for forming steps in a pool formed by wall panels. The step forms may include a wall panel insert configured for insertion between adjacent pool wall panels. The step forms may include one or more step form brace configured to couple with the wall panel insert and, thereby, the wall panels. The step forms may include riser forms that from riser portions of the stairs when the step forms and riser forms are coupled. The pool stair forms may be filled with filling material to form tread portions of the stairs. The pool stair forms may include liner support members coupled to the step form braces and/or the wall panels that facilitate the coupling of a liner to the stairs formed by the pool stair forms and filling material.

Preformed swimming pool body having a built-in pit
A swimming pool assembly, including a pool body defining a pool top edge and an opposite pool floor member connected by at least one pool wall, a dry area formed within the pool body and defining a dry area wall portion, a dry area bottom portion operationally connected thereto, and an aperture operationally connected to the dry area bottom portion for providing fluid communication from the dry area into the support structure. The dry area includes seating and a central feature, such as a fire pit, pool table, wet bar, or the like. A support structure is provided to support the dry area and is connected to the dry area bottom portion. The support structure further includes a support structure floor member, at least one support structure wall member extending therefrom and connected to the shallow deck portion to define an enclosure, and at least one fluid access aperture formed through the support structure wall member to provide fluidic communication with the enclosure.
Swimming pool peripheral recess cover fastener
Swimming pool recess covers and methods of covering swimming pool recesses, for example, stairwells, are disclosed. The recess covers include a flexible sheet adapted to at least partially cover the recess, and one or more fasteners mounted to an edge of the sheet. The fasteners are adapted to engage a main pool cover. The fastener may be an elongated fastener having a receptacle adapted to receive a projection mounted on the main pool cover. The receptacle may have an opening defined by opposing arms adapted to deflect when contacted by the projection on the main cover. The flexible arms may also include projections that enhance engagement of the receptacle with the projection on the main pool cover. Swimming pool peripheral recess cover fasteners are also provided.
