METHOD FOR PROVIDING ARTIFICIAL BASINS, SWIMMING POOLS AND THE LIKE
A method for providing artificial basins, swimming pools, which includes the steps of performing an excavation that corresponds to the artificial basin according to design specifications, providing a substrate, on the surfaces of the excavation, and arranging equipment and piping for supplying and discharging water on the substrate. The method further includes distributing on the substrate and on the overlying equipment and piping a first layer, distributing a second layer, which is at least partially impermeable. After the consolidation of the second layer, the surface thereof is shaped with abrasive tools and instruments. At least one third layer is spread, and a fifth layer is spread, which is impermeable.
Urban transformation and construction method for creating a public access tropical style swimming lagoon with beaches within vacant or abandoned sites
An urban transformation and construction method is disclosed that creates a tropical style swimming lagoon at vacant and/or abandoned sites. The transformation includes demolishing at least part of the vacant or abandoned site, excavating material from within the site; forming a basin for a large water body having a surface area of at least 3,000 m2, and constructing water containment walls on a first section of the basin to form a waterfront perimeter. The shape of the waterfront perimeter is mainly curved, the basin has a maximum width of 300 meters, and the bottom is covered with a non-permeable material. A sloped access area is constructed in a second section of the basin to form a beach. A barrier is constructed to control access into the area including the beach. At least one recreational facility is constructed including restaurants, bars, kiosks, stores, and/or cafes about the waterfront perimeter.
IMPROVED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POOL FRAMES AND LINERS
A frame for a pool that may be installed as a series of links is disclosed. The series of links may be configured to connect to one or more other links. One or more links may be extendable from a collapsed configuration to an extended configuration. A first link of the one or more links may be configured to connect to a second link of the one or more links. An extendable portion of the first link may connect to a connecting member of the second link. The first link may include a first frame member that pivots relative to a second frame member. The pool may include a liner that is installed on the frame of the pool. The liner may attach to the frame by passing above and around one or more frame members.
ABOVE-GROUND POOL
An above-ground pool is provided including a base; a surrounding wall having a lower edge joined to the base; and a pool liner, detachably connected to an inner side of the surrounding wall, the pool liner defining a water storage space therein. The above-ground pool further includes a support assembly comprising: a plurality of horizontal support members, a plurality of vertical support members, a plurality of first connecting members, each connecting an upper end of one of the plurality of vertical support members to two of the plurality of horizontal support members, and a plurality of second connecting members, each connecting a lower end of one of the plurality of vertical support members to the base. Each of the plurality of first connecting members comprises a first insertion slot having a shape corresponding to a contour of the one of the plurality of vertical support members. Each of the plurality of second connecting members comprises a second insertion slot having a shape corresponding to the contour of the one of the plurality of vertical support members.
Swimming pool coping members
Coping arrangements and methods for mounting coping arrangements for swimming pools and related structures are provided. The coping arrangements include an elongated base member shaped and adapted to be received by a wall of a swimming pool; and a plurality of elongated top members, each of the plurality of elongated top members are adapted to be replaceably mounted to the elongated base member, and each of the plurality of elongated top members having an exposed contour different from each of the other elongated top members. The different exposed contours of the top members of the coping arrangement may comprise different cross-sectional. Methods for changing a coping arrangement, coping arrangement kits, coping members, and methods for installing a pool are also disclosed.
Methods and means for improving the interior surfaces of pools
A liner for finishing an interior pool surface is disclosed, the liner including a water resistant material; and a predetermined decorative pattern or design, wherein the pattern or design is applied onto at least one side of the liner. The patterns and designs may be either two- or three-dimensional, and can include iridescent and/or reflective inks, reflective beads and/or pebbles and so on, and be arranged in either predetermined or randomized arrays. A customized pool skimmer face plate system is also disclosed, including at least a skimmer face plate cover; a template having a size and shape proportional to the size and shape of the face plate cover; a water-resistant material bearing a color, pattern, or design; and a wrapper created from the water-resistant material using the template that complements neighboring colors, patterns and designs surrounding the skimmer face plate installation location.
Frame pool
A frame pool includes a pool body having a space for containing liquid and a support frame for supporting the pool body. The pool body has an upper edge with a sleeve. The support frame includes an upper frame extending through the sleeve and a plurality of support members holding the upper frame in an elevated position. The upper frame includes first upper tubes, second upper tubes, and connecting tubes connecting the first upper tubes to the second upper tubes. Collars are provided within assembling ends of the first and second upper tubes. Each end of each of the connecting tubes is movably inserted into a collar located within an assembling end of a corresponding one of the upper tubes. Anti-rust coatings on the outer surfaces of the connecting tubes can be prevented from being worn and water can be sealed out of the tubes of the upper frame.
Modular pool system
Described are pool brackets for use in assembling a pool frame for a pool. The pool brackets may be used as a primary building block for constructing free-standing rectangular cuboid swimming pools. Also described are pool frames, pools, panels, including non-homogenous multi-function wall panels; and, kits for assembling pool brackets, pool frames, and pools.
