Sacrificial energy dissipation mechanism

Structural devices for energy dissipation can be designed to provide asymmetrical responses to cyclic axial loading. The energy dissipation devices can be designed to provide a known or predictable response to tensile loading, along with a different known or predictable response to compressive loading. The devices may include a filament which bears a portion of both tensile and compressive loads and a bracing device which provides lateral support to the filament to prevent buckling. Interlocks or a similar restraining mechanism can be used to resist part of either a compressive or tensile load. These components can be configured in such a manner as to provide an asymmetric response.

A novel function-recoverable prefabricated seismic shear wall structure with replaceable components, which includes main structural components, connecting components and replaceable components. All components are connected by bolts or pins. The connections can provide sufficient strength to effectively connect adjacent upper and lower wall panels, or wall panel and coupling beam, together. The replaceable components are installed in the bottom region of the wall and coupling beams, which provide sufficient bearing capacity and stiffness for the building structure under service loads and dissipate seismic energy under the earthquake. The damage concentrates on the replaceable components which could be easily replaced after a strong earthquake so that the function of the building structure could be quickly restored. In addition, the replaceable components with different energy-dissipation mechanisms facilitate the shear wall structure to have multiple seismic fortification lines, and improve the seismic performance of the building structure.

The problem is overcome that the original traditional wedge-shaped material that gaps rely on has a single filling function.

The second attitude data calculator calculates attitude data at a second position by using received positioning signals, and calculates a calculated time point of the attitude data of the second position based on the time of the positioning system. The displacement calculator calculates a displacement amount and a displacement direction of the structural object by using a difference between the attitude data of the first and second positions calculated at the same time point.

In the shear link including replaceable cover plates according to the present invention, since the first and second cover plates are separably combined with the main frame by the combination unit, the first and second cover plates deformed by an external force may be easily separated from the main frame to reduce time and costs consumed for a replacement operation.
