BLAST RESISTANT SHELTER AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
20220074192 · 2022-03-10 ·

A method and apparatus according to which a blast resistant shelter is assembled. The blast resistant shelter includes first and second structural members, a third structural member coupled to the first and second structural members, a first airway adjacent the third structural member, and a first blast panel pivotably mounted to the third structural member and adapted to pivot thereabout in response to a blast wave. In a first configuration, the first blast panel is detachably connected to a first portion of the blast resistant shelter and prevented from pivoting about the third structural member so that the first blast panel obstructs air flow through the first airway. In a second configuration, in response to the blast wave, the first blast panel is detached from the first portion of the blast resistant shelter and permitted to pivot about the third structural member to permit air flow through the first airway.

Hardened alternative trailer system and methods of producing same

A Hardened Alternative Trailer System (HATS) is described, including methods of producing same. HATS has superior blast, ballistic and forced entry protection properties, relative to existing structures, due to particular features of frame design and construction methods. Furthermore, HATS is a low-cost reinforced ISO container suitable for field and/or remote fabrication and meets blast, ballistic/projectile and/or forced entry threats such as the U.S. Department of State Certification Standard SD-STD-01.01, Revision G.

Configurable modular shelter system

A modular shelter system includes a floor panel having a first curved surface along a lateral edge on a top side of the floor panel and a first inside surface located inside of the first curved surface. The modular shelter system additionally includes a wall panel having a second curved surface along a bottom end of the wall panel, wherein the second curved surface is configured to rotate relative to the first curved surface, and wherein the second curved surface is configured to mate with the first curved surface. The wall panel further has a second inside surface located inside of the second curved surface, wherein the second inside surface is configured to mate with the first inside surface when the wall panel is erected over the floor panel.
