Modular anti-ballistic shelter system
The modular anti-ballistic shelter system includes two end units and, optionally, additional middle units for a wider structure. End and middle units may also stack atop each other for multi-story structures. Each unit is configured to comply with both ISO standards for size and weight, and with the U.S. Department of State Certification Standard for Forced Entry and Ballistic Resistance of Structural Systems. Each exterior wall of each end unit and each middle unit is reinforced with wall studs that penetrate the unit's structural framework of beams and frames. Even though these wall studs are welded into place, penetration of the wall studs into the beams and frames ensures acceptable blast, ballistic, and forced entry resistance even if the welds are flawed.
COMPOSITE STUD WALL PANEL ASSEMBLY
A composite stud wall panel assembly, which can be used alone as a blast panel or as a module for wall or roof structures, comprises a frame including a plurality of spaced apart metal studs and metal crossbars interconnecting the studs; and a cementitious aggregate panel, one side of the metal studs being embedded in and permanently connected to the panel along the length of the studs.
INFLATABLE IMPACT SHIELD SYSTEM
An impact shield for earthquake protection is described herein. The impact shield may include a canopy constructed of a puncture-resistant material, the canopy defining a first internal volume accessible via a first opening, the canopy being structured to form a semispherical shape when in an inflated state, the semispherical shape defining a space dimensioned for sheltering at least one human body; a support joined to the canopy and constructed of the puncture-resistant material, the support defining a second internal volume accessible via the first opening and a second opening, the support located within the space, the support structured to form a column when in the inflated state; and a fitting joined to the support for closing the second opening to fix the first internal volume and the second internal volume after inflation of the support and the canopy.
Ballistic resistant laminate panel
A ballistic resistant, fragmentation debris capture laminate panel is comprised of one or more ballistic resistant and containment materials that have been laminated together with one or more thermoplastic resin substrates such as polycarbonate and/or PETG. The ballistic resistant, fragmentation debris capture laminate panel can be manufactured with a variety of ballistic resistant and containment materials, by autoclave or hot press methods, and include decorative and/or image bearing appearance. Specifically, a ballistic resistant laminate, fragmentation debris capture panel of the present invention can be manufactured to include materials, such as aramid fiber sheet, ballistic ceramic products, and/or metal fabric sheet, or combination thereof, to meet one or several ballistic resistant standards and fragmentation debris capture ratings selected by the user for a specific building, construction or structural application.

MODULAR DOME-LIKE STRUCTURE AND VOUSSOIRS AND KEYSTONE USED TO CONSTRUCT THE DOME-LIKE STRUCTURE
A modular dome-like structure comprises a semispheric wall. A lowermost course of the semispheric wall is constructed using a plurality of springers. An intermediate course of the semispheric wall is constructed using a plurality of a first voussoir type. A second to uppermost course of the semispheric wall is constructed using a plurality of a second voussoir type. An uppermost course and third to uppermost of the semispheric wall is constructed using a plurality of a third voussoir type. The modular dome-like structure may have a cap constructed using a plurality of fourth voussoir type and a keystone or the modular dome-like structure may have an oculus. The modular dome-like structure may further include a lateral opening in the semispheric wall. The lowermost course and the intermediate course may be laid in a stretcher bond.
Refractory enclosures for high density energy storage systems
The present is a containment enclosure made from refractory material. The enclosure contains a plurality of panels and a plurality of columns made from refractory material. The enclosure has an interior portion and an exterior portion, and wherein the enclosure contains the effects of extreme fire as well as contains the effects of explosions.
Vault for active shooters and tornadoes
The present disclosure relates to a protective enclosure to secure occupants against external threats, such as ballistic projectiles, blasts, or natural phenomena.
