HYDRODYNAMIC WATER BLOCKING DEVICE FOR UNDERGROUND GARAGE AND METHOD

A hydrodynamic water blocking device for an underground garage includes a water blocking plate assembly and side rail assemblies, wherein the water blocking plate assembly includes a first water blocking element, one end of the first water blocking element is rotationally connected with a base, the other end of the first water blocking element is rotationally connected with one end of a second water blocking element, the first and second water blocking elements have foamed layers, the base has grooves capable of accommodating the embedded foamed layers, water inlets formed in the base communicate with the grooves, each of the side rail assemblies includes a side plate with an ascending rail including a horizontally disposed linear rail and an arc-shaped lifting rail, the second water blocking element has a walking assembly embedded in the ascending rail which is connected with a driving mechanism installed at the second water blocking element.

Flood control

The present invention provides a panel, a flood control assembly, a flood control device and a flood control barrier.

A Flood Barrier
20170321475 · 2017-11-09 ·

A flood barrier (100) is disclosed, which comprises at least two supporting posts (104a, 104b) for positioning at an entrance (102) of a building; and at least one panel (108) removably arranged intermediate a pair of the supporting posts to form the flood barrier, wherein the panel includes a plurality of seals having corrugated surfaces to interface with the supporting posts to provide a water-tight arrangement against entry of flood waters into the building. A method of operating said flood barrier is also disclosed.

Water and land-based modular system for environmentally versatile housing, shelter and commercial use
11396350 · 2022-07-26 ·

A sustainable floating and land application community based on a mass-produced modular, pre-fabricated kit of parts referred to as floating modular units (FMU) or land module units (LMU). Both modular units are designed to allow for various needs while remaining simple to deliver and assemble by hand in remote destinations prone to volatile shifts in water levels and currents. Both floating and land module units can be erected for use on land and bodies of water.

ESCAPE DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR STORM SHELTER
20210388669 · 2021-12-16 ·

A storm shelter escape door assembly includes a frame and a door hinged to the frame. The frame includes three inner sidewalls, an open end, and a horizontal attachment plate extending outwardly from upper edges of the inner sidewalls. The door has at least three outer sidewalls joined by a door face. The door is hinged to the frame adjacent the open end and below the horizontal attachment plate so the door is openable in an inward direction away from the horizontal attachment plate. When the door is in a closed position, the door face angles downwardly toward the open end to cause water to run off the door.

Nuclear power plant having a protective superstructure

A nuclear power plant having a protective superstructure including a first end region configured to cover a nuclear reactor in a containment structure, a second end region opposite the first end region and configured to cover a cooling water pump house, and a central region between the first and second end regions and configured to cover a turbine hall. The superstructure has an oval-shaped plan profile, the oval having a greater degree of curvature at the first end region than at the second end region.

Tidal Flood Mitigation Assembly
20210372065 · 2021-12-02 ·

A tidal flood mitigation assembly includes a riser that is attachable to a well head located in a coastal area. The riser extends at least 5.0 feet above ground to elevate the entry into the well head high enough to inhibit king tide flood waters from pouring outwardly from the well head. In this way the riser can mitigate king tide flood waters. A discharge pipe is fluidly coupled to the riser and the discharge pipe is in fluid communication with a sump pump. In this way the discharge pipe directs water from the sump pump into the well head. A breather tube is fluid coupled to the riser for purging air from the riser when the water level rises in the riser.

MULTIPLEX WATER CUTOFF WALL
20220170285 · 2022-06-02 ·

Provided is a multiplex water cutoff wall with a simple structure that can control water infiltration into an interior by way of being provided with multiple water cutoff walls and having a configuration to drain water having infiltrated between the water cutoff walls with a drainage means such as a pump. A plurality of water cutoff walls 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D are disposed in a multiplex configuration with gaps in the wall thickness direction. Drain pumps 4a, 4b, 4c are provided as the drainage means for discharging water having infiltrated between the water cutoff walls 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D to the outside. Water that has infiltrated between the water cutoff walls 1A and 1B when a rise in water level is caused outside the multiplex water cutoff wall during flooding is discharged to the outside of the multiplex water cutoff wall by the drain pump 4a. If necessary, the water cutoff wall can be arranged into a multiplex configuration with a third water cutoff wall 1C and a fourth water cutoff wall 1D, and water infiltrating therebetween is discharged with the drain pumps 4b, 4c. Thus, the level of infiltrating water is lower nearer the interior, and water flood damage can be prevented to a structure in the interior protected by the multiplex water cutoff wall.

FLOATING FOUNDATION
