A flood control system is provided that allows an unobstructed view of the surrounding area when not in use. The flood control system comprises a base and at least one foundation coupled to the base. The base is positioned below a grade to protect an area from the encroachment of fluid or semi-solids. An expandable barrier is removably coupled to a channel in the base. The expandable barrier is inflated with a source of pressurized fluid to form a barrier to prevent the encroachment of fluid or semi-solids to the protected area.

Flood vent having a panel

According to one embodiment, a flood vent panel includes a first area, a second area, and a first set of one or more perforations positioned on a first side of the flood vent panel in a location in-between the first area and the second area. The perforations are configured to break when at least a predetermined amount of pressure is applied to a portion of the second area. The flood vent panel is configured to be coupled, at least indirectly, to a structure so as to at least partially block a fluid passageway through an opening in the structure. The break is configured to completely separate the second area from the first area so as to reduce an amount of blockage of the fluid passageway.

A wall panel for building construction comprising a frame made of a plurality of non-porous studs or channels; a flat wall material movably attached to the frame such that the flat wall material may be moved in preparation for a flood event; and one or more adjustable or telescoping legs pivotally attached to the flat wall material, the legs designed to hold the wall material substantially perpendicular to the floor in preparation for a flood event. The wall panel enables the home or business owner to lift the flat wall material out of harm's way in the event of an expected flood and further allows the home or business owner to store personal items on the wall panel in the event of an expected flood.

TEMPORARY WATER BARRIER TO PREVENT FLOODING THROUGH RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL DOORS
20200011127 · 2020-01-09 ·

A temporary water barrier for residential and commercial doors. The temporary water barrier is an inflatable bladder that is configured to be installed in a doorway and inflated to create a barrier to water within the jam of the door or opening beneath the door. The elongate bladder has sealed ends, an inflation valve to communicate an inflation fluid to an interior of the bladder. A resilient seal may be provided along one or more of a top surface and a bottom surface of the bladder. A notch may be defined in the bladder with the notch dimensioned to fit around a hinge supporting the door in the doorway.

FLOOD PREVENTION DEVICE

A flood prevention device includes a gate device constituting a passage between a flood prevention area and an outside area, and a portable flood prevention material that separates the flood prevention area and the outside area with the gate device. The gate device has a side wall corresponding to one end of the portable flood prevention material.

Underground temporary danger avoiding system for defending against short-duration and strong impact of ground fluid

The invention relates to a perforating device for thermoplastic plates, which relates to the technical field of a plate processing device. The device comprises an electromagnetic chuck, one side of the electromagnetic chuck is connected with the motion part, the other side of the electromagnetic chuck is connected with a mounting plate and a spike. When the electromagnetic chuck is powered on, the spike is attracted below the mounting plate by the electromagnetic force. A clamping part is arranged below the mounting plate, the thermoplastic plate is fixed by the clamping part, and a heating system is also provided to heat the thermoplastic plate. As the electromagnetic chuck is powered on or off, the spike can be attracted in or separated from the mounting plate, respectively. Therefore, the perforating device can make a new plate be pierced during the cooling and curing process of the perforated plate.

Flood barrier ground sealing arrangement

Embodiments herein relate to a ground sealing arrangement for a portable flood barrier further comprising a vertical wall. The ground sealing arrangement is arranged to be positioned on the ground. The ground sealing arrangement comprises a main sealing layer forming a main body of the ground sealing arrangement. The main sealing layer is impermeable to water. The ground sealing arrangement further comprises a bottom sealing layer arranged on a ground-facing underside of the main sealing layer. The bottom sealing layer is attached to the main sealing layer at a distance L from a peripheral edge of the main sealing layer which is most distal from the first edge of the ground sealing arrangement such that the bottom sealing layer has a free end extending from the point where the bottom sealing layer attaches to the main sealing layer towards the peripheral edge of the main sealing layer, and comprises a highly flexible and/or glutinous material which is stretchable and sticks to the ground when the material is soaked with water.
