LAMINATED WOOD TOWER AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLY OF A LAMINATED WOOD TOWER
Laminated wood tower including a plurality of curved modules attached to each other, where each curved module includes a plurality of layers, where each layer includes a plurality of laminated plies, and where a layer includes a first set of plies, where the first set of plies includes a plurality of plies arranged adjacent each other and where the wood grain is directed in a first direction, and a second set of plies, where the second set of plies includes one or more plies arranged adjacent each other and where the wood grain is directed in a second direction, where the first direction is perpendicular to the second direction. The advantage is that a self-supporting laminated wood tower can be obtained in an easy and cost-effective way.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LAMINATED VENEER LUMBER BOARD
A method for producing a laminated veneer lumber board adapted to be used for curved modules in which a plurality of laminated veneer lumber boards are laminated to each other to form a curved laminated wood module, where the method includes the steps of: cutting a plurality of veneer plies, placing a first part of a first set of plies in a mould with the wood grain directed in a first direction, placing a second set of plies including one or two plies with the wood grain directed to be perpendicular to the first direction on the first part, placing a second part of the first set of plies with the wood grain directed in the first direction on the second set of plies, and gluing and pressing the plies to each other to form the laminated veneer lumber board.
Pole shield
The present disclosure relates to a pole shield for extending around a pole structure. The pole shield comprises one or more than one sheet of composite material forming a hollow structure having an open first end and an opposed open second end. The sheet or sheets of composite material comprise from about 50% to about 80% by weight of a reinforcement impregnated with about 20% to about 50% of a polyurethane resin composition comprising a combination of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component. Two or more pole shields may be stacked one on top of the other to form a pole shield structure which extends the height of protection of the pole structure. The pole shield can be used for protecting a pole structure from damage, such as from fire, rain, wind, sand, ice, pests, moisture or electrical. The pole shield may also be used to provide structural support to a pole structure.
BURN PROTECTION FOR WOOD POLES
Poles are protected from fire damage by forming a vegetation-free buffer zone around them that needs little or no routine maintenance to retain its effectiveness. This is implemented by pole-protection systems and methods that include a peripheral apron positioned around the pole and sized to form the desired vegetation-free zone, and a cover that covers and protects the apron. In example embodiments, the apron is made of a woven geotextile fabric with an annular shape, with a central opening for receiving the pole, with a radial slit forming free ends for displacing to install the apron around the pole and for returning and fastening in place to form a continuously extending peripheral sheet. And the cover is made of crushed and washed rock forming a rock bed that covers the apron to protect and insulate it from UV radiation and fire damage.
Pole and method of manufacturing the pole
A pole for supporting a cable. The pole includes a plurality of truncated cones arranged in a linear array to form the pole, wherein each truncated cone receives an adjacent truncated cone within its interior. Each truncated cone in the pole is formed from a veneer by moving the longitudinal edges of the veneer towards each other. A method of manufacturing the pole and various uses of the pole are also provided.

SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SERVICING SUPPORT POLES
Methods of reinforcing a functional component, which may include a support pole or an well casing. The methods include excavating a treatment section around the perimeter of the functional component. The methods may further comprise compacting a fill material up to a fill elevation. The methods further comprise casting a mortar mixture, including with UHPC up to an upper elevation above the ground surface. A forming structure may be implemented comprising a length that corresponds to the intended length of the UHPC pour. Another embodiment of the methods comprises installing a sealant component substantially around the perimeter of the functional component. The sealant component is structured to reciprocally move with the functional component during expansion and contraction thereof.
