Symmetric azomethine direct dyes, process for their preparation, cosmetic composition comprising at least one such dye and use thereof
The present invention relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibres, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, in one or more steps, comprising the application to said keratin fibres of a composition comprising one or more compounds of formula (I) and/or (II), and also to the use thereof for dyeing keratin fibres, and to a device: in which formula (I) or (II) R.sub.1, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, and n are as defined in the description. The compounds of formula (I) according to the invention can give powerful, chromatic and sparingly selective colourings with good colour build-up, which are resistant to the various attacking factors to which keratin fibres may be subjected, such as inclement weather, light, washing and perspiration. ##STR00001##
Agents for oxidatively dyeing hair, containing specific combinations of developers and couplers
Agents for oxidatively dyeing of keratinic fibers include in a cosmetic carrier, (A) as a developer, 4,5-diamino-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1H-pyrazole and/or one of the physiologically acceptable salts thereof, (B) as a developer, p-aminophenol and/or one of the physiologically acceptable salts thereof, (C) as a coupler, 2,6-bis(2′-hydroxyethylamino)-1-methylbenzene and/or one of the physiologically acceptable salts thereof, and (D) as a coupler, at least one m-dihydroxybenzene derivative from the group consisting resorcinol, 2-methylresorcinol and/or 4-chlororesorcinol as coupler.
PROCESS FOR RESHAPING KERATIN FIBERS
Processes and kits-of-parts reshape keratin fibers by applying a composition onto hair and covering the hair, wherein the composition comprises ammonia and one or more organic alkalizing agents. Additionally, the hair is put under tension using a curler with covering the curler with a moisture barrier, and heating the keratin fibers. As a result, long-lasting curl having cosmetic properties are achievable and an ammonia smell is reduced when directly compared to compositions having no organic alkalizing agent.
COMPOSITIONS, APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING AND IMPROVING ORAL HEALTH
The present disclosure relates to methods, compositions and apparatus for monitoring and improving oral health by utilizing information about nitric oxide levels in an individual's oral cavity. In an embodiment, the disclosure provides methods and apparatus for monitoring nitric oxide metabolites in saliva; this information may be utilized as it relates to improving oral health, i.e. monitoring and improving oral hygiene and increasing the consumption of nitric oxide-potent foods. In an embodiment, methods for improving oral health in a subject comprising, use of an oral cleanser by an individual, wherein the oral cleanser comprises a potassium nitrate source; and use of a saliva test strip for measuring nitrite and nitrogen oxides in the oral cavity of the individual are provided. In an embodiment, a novel nitrate-rich gum composition is provided.
PRODUCTS AND METHODS FOR TREATING PERIORBITAL DYSCHROMIA
The application is directed, generally, to an array of products and methods for treating periorbital dyschromia. More specifically, the application discloses an array of products and methods for treating different types of periorbital dyschromia. The products and methods utilize extracts of Vicia faba.
