There is provided a floodlight that includes: a telescopic post that has a plurality of posts whose outer diameters are made gradually smaller, into which the posts can be loosely fitted, and that can be extended and contracted in an up-down direction; a lighting unit attached to the post located on the innermost side; a raising and lowering unit that extends and contracts, in the up-down direction, the posts in conjunction with each other; a base that the post located on the outermost side is fixed to; and dampers that connect a side surface of the post located on the outermost side and a side surface of the post located on the second outermost side.

TELESCOPIC MAST

A telescopic mast which is automatically extendable and/or retractable comprising a first tubular section and a second tubular section having a locking member mounted thereto. The first tubular section is slideably disposed within the second tubular section, and the locking member is movable in a radial direction relative to the second tubular section to bear against the first tubular section, so that the first and second tubular sections are held together. A third tubular section has a disengaging block mounted thereto. The second tubular section is slideably disposed within the third tubular section, and the disengaging block is shaped to guide the locking member radially outwards and disengage the locking member from the first tubular section when the mast is collapsed. When the mast is retracted or collapsed the second tubular section slides with respect to the third tubular section so the disengaging block guides the locking member radially outwards.

Nuts are configured to correspond and interface with the spindle, and a power mechanism is configured to spin the spindle. Each of the nuts respectively interfaces at the proximal portion of each of the hollow blade segments and the nuts have nut threads corresponding to the spindle threads. The nut threads allow back and forth movement over the spindle threads when the spindle is rotated; however, the nut threads will slide over the spindle threads if the distal telescopic blade segment is pushed above a given threshold force.

The invention relates to a movable module and to a method of hoisting telescopic towers, preferably wind turbine towers, an ascending section of the tower being hoisted in relation to a supporting section of the tower immediately outside. The movable module preferably comprises at least one hydraulic jack; at least one hoisting cable pre-installed through the hydraulic jack and which remains connected to the jack throughout the performance of the method of hoisting the telescopic tower; and grouping means arranged at the free end of at least one hoisting cable. Advantageously, during hoisting, the movable module is temporarily fixed to the head of the supporting section, and the grouping means (4) are temporarily fixed to the base of the ascending section.
