Fixture for tilt-up wind turbine installation
11053704 · 2021-07-06 · ·

A method installs a wind turbine. The method provides an assembled turbine in a non-vertical orientation. The turbine includes a tower, and a nacelle coupled to blades at the top end of the tower. The blades define a strike zone when the turbine is assembled. The method forms a hinged connection adjacent to or at the bottom end of the tower. The hinged connection is configured so that the assembled turbine may be tilted upwardly about a pivot point of the hinge. The method also controls a force distribution fixture to apply a force to the tower about the pivot point of the hinged connection to tilt the tower upwardly. The fixture includes a tension member. The tension member is tensioned between the fixture and the strike zone. The tension member at least in part counteracts a bending moment caused by the weight of the assembled turbine during tilt-up.

EXTENSIBLE TELESCOPING MAST ASSEMBLY AND DEPLOYMENT MECHANISM

Extensible mast is comprised of multiple mast sections which are aligned along a mast axis. Each mast section is formed of an elongated tubular member disposed in a nested configuration when the mast is in a stowed condition. Each mast section is configured to slide along a direction aligned with the mast axis to facilitate a transition of the mast from the stowed condition to a deployed condition. In the deployed condition, adjacent mast sections are disposed substantially end to end so as to form a mast having an elongated length extending from a mast base to a mast tip. Mast sections includes one or more latches formed from a portion of the sidewall and resiliently engage a portion of an adjacent mast section.

High-intensity, telescoping light tower with safety features

A mobile lighting device is disclosed with extendable boom sections. The boom sections are stored in a horizontal position and then pivot to a vertical position before being extended upward. A light section is positioned at the uppermost end of the last extendable boom section. A variety of safety features are also disclosed.

TELESCOPIC MAST

There is disclosed a telescopic mast including one or more telescopic members with parallel walls. One of two adjacent telescoping sections is narrower than the other of the two adjacent telescoping sections such that a telescoping section can be moved into and out of, respectively, of a surrounding telescoping section in a telescopic member. This surrounding telescoping section can be moved into and out of a further telescoping section in a further telescopic member. In the one telescoping section in a telescopic member there is provided a guide rail running in axial direction of the telescoping section. Between each of two adjacent telescoping sections in a telescopic member there is provided at least one spacer means arranged for keeping the telescoping sections apart and controlling their mutual movement. This means includes a mounting fitting fastened to the second telescoping section in a telescopic member and a flexible sleeve mounted in the mounting fitting. In the flexible sleeve is fitted a slide shoe that includes a pin for engaging the flexible sleeve, and a groove arranged for engaging the guide rail.

The present invention is a remotely activated flag pole that raises and lowers a flag automatically and stores a flag within the hollow flag pole assembly when the flag is lowered. The flag pole includes a cap that lowers into place over the flag receiving section as the flag is lowered and allows the stored flag to remain dry and out of the weather when the flag is in its lowered stored position.

Small cell pole and mounting system and methods of use and installation thereof

The present invention generally relates to a small cell, and more particularly it relates to a small cell pole system, a method for installing a small cell pole system, and to a system and method for mounting components within a capsule in the small cell pole system. The small cell pole system includes an adjustable pole assembly, a capsule with pre-installed communication components, and a base. The mounting system includes a frame including a backplane and a locking bar and one or more removable cards configured to hold a communications component or another associated device.

MOBILE TOWER SYSTEM

A mobile tower system includes a tower cassette sized to be accommodated in a bed of a pickup truck. The tower cassette includes a container, a tower vertically fixed to a back portion of the container, and a mounting member fixed to a top of the tower. The mounting member has a free end for mounting a piece of equipment thereto, and the mounting member is moveable between a stowed position and a use position. When in the stowed position, the free end of the mounting member is disposed inside of the container for securing the piece of equipment mounted thereto in the container when the tower is not in use. When in the use position, the free end of the mounting member is disposed outside of the container for operating the piece of equipment when the tower is in use.

Extendable cage telescopic system

The embodiments herein provide an extendable mechanism comprising several identical telescopic members. The telescopic members comprises a base member, an intermediate member and an end effector member which are designed to slide with respect to each other along a common axis. The base member is attached on a moving base. The intermediate member is configured to move relatively with respect to the base member. The end effector member is extended from the intermediate member. The telescopic member comprises three identical cylindrical rods connected between an exterior ring and an interior ring. The cylindrical rods are perpendicular to the exterior ring and aligned along the common axis of the telescopic members.
