SUN SHADING SYSTEMS

A system for providing shade onto a surface is disclosed, where the system includes at least one frame that includes a plurality of sections configured for engagement in an end-to-end alignment to provide the frame in a supporting configuration; a canopy defining a length and a width, the canopy being supportable by the at least one frame in the supporting configuration such that the frame extends along the length of the canopy or along the width of the canopy; and a plurality of anchors engageable with one or both of the canopy and the frame, at least one of the plurality of anchors being engageable with a corner of the canopy, wherein, in the supporting configuration, the canopy is supported by the frame and the plurality of anchors and is at least partially supportable by wind for providing shade onto the surface.

A RELEASABLE FASTENING DEVICE

A releasable fastening device for boards, comprising an anchor configured for insertion between two adjacent boards and abutment with an underside of the boards. The releasable fastening device further comprises a rod in threaded connection with the anchor and a rotation element connected to the rod. The rotation element is configured for positioning on a topside of the boards and configured for being rotated by a user. The rotation element is configured for rotating the rod to thereby screw the anchor towards the rotation element.

Tie down ground anchor head
11643785 · 2023-05-09 ·

An anchor head mounted to or incorporated into the shaft of conventional tie down stakes and earth anchors. The anchor head eliminates the need to manually drive the earth anchor into the ground and allows the anchor to be placed and removed using conventional powered drill/drivers and hex sockets or wrenches. The anchor head has a hexagonal top section and a hexagonal bottom sectional separated by an integral, central annular shoulder. The top and bottom sections are each configured to have six equilateral side walls and dimensioned to receive two different sizes of wrench or hex socket. The bottom section of the anchor head has a threaded axial bore for receiving the threaded end of the anchor shaft. The bottom section also has a lateral “swage” bore through which a punch is inserted to swage or deform the threads of the shaft to permanently secure the anchor head to the shaft.

Portable Shading Assembly

A portable shading assembly for provision of shade using a tethered panel includes a mast and a panel. The mast has a bottom configured to couple to a surface. The panel is flexible and has a respective opposing side reversibly couplable to a top of the mast. The mast is positioned substantially equally distant from opposing edges of the panel. A plurality of tethers is coupled to and extends from the panel. Each of a plurality of stakes is reversibly couplable to a respective tether distal from the panel. The panel is positioned to couple to the mast. The mast and the stakes are configured to couple to the surface. The tethers are positioned to couple the panel to the stakes. The panel is positioned above the surface to use the natural force of the wind to inflate the panel and hold it aloft to provide shade to a user.

Anti-seismic apparatus for control element drive mechanisms

An anti-seismic apparatus for control element drive mechanisms of a nuclear reactor includes: an anti-seismic support plate including a plurality of insertion holes in which the control element drive mechanisms are respectively inserted; and bushings inserted between outer surfaces of the control element drive mechanisms and inner surfaces of the insertion holes. The support plate includes an upper support plate comprising a plurality of first insertion holes, a lower support plate comprising a plurality of second insertion holes at positions corresponding to the first insertion holes, and a connection part connecting the upper support plate and the lower support plate. The connection part includes a support beam vertically extending from an end portion of the lower support plate, an inner flange extending inward from an upper end portion of the support beam, and an outer flange extending outward from the upper end portion of the support beam.

TEMPORARY AND PORTABLE SHELTERS FOR MOURNING, CELEBRATION, AND SPIRITUAL USE
20170362851 · 2017-12-21 ·

An expandable shelter includes a canopy adjustable in length along a longitudinal axis. Legs support the canopy in an A-frame configuration defining an apex angle along an upper ridgeline. A shaded or sheltered area that is variable in length and width is defined. A mobile shelter includes multiple protective structures, each supported by a respective generally vertical supporting column having a lower handle configured to be gripped and supported by a respective bearer. Each handle may be toroidal in shape for use at any angle. Non-level terrain may be traversed by coordinated movements of bearers with regard to each respective handle such that the protective structures are maintained in a desired configuration.
