A safety fence comprising a first and a second post. An upper rail is securable to upright members of the first post and the second post in a horizontally orientation. A mesh has an upper end slidably coupled to the upper rail. The mesh has a retracted configuration where it is collapsed and retained next to the first post, and a deployed configuration where it is extended between the first and second posts in a taut configuration. At least one tensioning member has a first end fixed to the first post and is releasably securable to the second post such that the tensioning member may be tensioned between the first and second posts. The tensioning member, when tensioned between the first and second posts with the mesh in its deployed configuration, provides horizontal load support to the mesh.

A wire/chain installing and tensioning device includes a wire-retaining rod, a post-engaging bracket, and a rod-receiving slot. The wire-retaining rod includes a rod body, a wire-engagement head, and a torque-receiving head. The rod-receiving slot normally traversing through the post-engaging bracket to receives the rod body. The wire-engagement head that receives and holds a wire to be tensioned is rotatably connected around a non-threaded section of the rod body. The torque-receiving head is terminally connected to a threaded section of the rod body and positioned opposite the wire-engagement head. The threaded section of the rod body is threadably engaged within the rod-receiving slot thus functioning as a linear actuator when the torque-receiving head is rotated by an external torque tool.

A guide device (10) is disclosed for constructing a wire or cable fence. The device (10) is arranged for contact with, and movement along, strands of pretensioned wire or cable (64) which form the fence wires. The guide device (10) has a number of rotatable members (16) on a generally horizontal axis of rotation, which are each arranged in use to support one of the strands (64) at a respective, pre-determined elevation above surrounding ground (8). A plurality of fence posts (66) having through-holes (68) that are arranged for receipt of the respective strand(s) (64) can then be caused to slide along the strands (64) in use without contacting the surrounding ground (8), and be spaced apart along those strands (64) to form the posts of the fence.

A railing system includes a tensioning anchor which can be used for securing rails. The tensioning anchor has first and second conjoined holes or voids only partially overlapping one another. The first conjoined hole is sized to receive a terminal end of the rail, while the second conjoined hole is sized to receive a tensioner. Movement of the tensioner moves the terminal end of the rail to tension the rail.

Stretch kit for fence systems

A stretch kit for a fence having an end post and a horizontal brace. The stretch kit has a stretch mechanism that mounts to and extends upwardly from the horizontal brace. The stretch mechanism slides along the horizontal brace to a stretch specification position. Stretch specification markings on a marking bar may indicate the stretch specification position. A slide mechanism of the stretch kit may receive the horizontal brace and guide movement of the stretch mechanism. Positioning the stretch mechanism at the stretch specification position tensions a plurality of fence wires attached to the stretch mechanism. A plurality of springs mounted between the end post and the stretch mechanism maintains the stretch mechanism upon the horizontal brace relative to the end post at the stretch specification position against the tensioned fence wires.
