Scrubbing device for cleaning, sanitizing or disinfecting
A cleaning, sanitizing or disinfecting scrubbing device includes a body, a non-thermal plasma generator and damp wipe. Generated plasma activates fluid in the wipe. The device may include spacer posts between the body and wipe and a conductive mesh between the body and wipe or embedded in the wipe. Another embodiment includes a reservoir for holding a water-based fluid, a fluid delivery element connected to the reservoir by a tube through which the fluid can flow and a non-thermal plasma generator. The non-thermal plasma generator activates the fluid. In one embodiment the scrubbing device is a mitt. In another embodiment the scrubbing device is a glove.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT USING NON-THERMAL PLASMA
An array of non-thermal plasma emitters is controlled to emit plasma based on application of an electric current at desired frequencies and a controlled power level. A power supply for an array controller includes a transformer that operates at the resonant frequency of the combined capacitance of the array and the cable connecting the array to the power supply. The power into the array is monitored by the controller and can be adjusted by the user. The controller monitors reflected power characteristics, such as harmonics of the alternating current, to determine initiation voltage of the plasma and/or resonant frequency plasma emitters. The array of non-thermal plasma emitters may be used in therapeutic, diagnostic, and/or medical sanitization applications, including where a non-thermal plasma treatment regimen for infections such as Trichophyton rubrum, or other fungal infections, is prescribed.
MODULAR LIGHT DEVICE FOR A BIOLOGICAL FLUID TREATMENT SYSTEM
Provided herein are systems and methods for implementing a modular light device for use in an electronic treatment device according to examples of the disclosure. In one or more examples, the modular light device can be implemented as a stand-alone component that can be swapped in and out of the treatment device. In one or more examples, the light device can include a light source array chamber configured to transmit UV light of a selected wavelength, the light source array chamber including one or more light source arrays and light sensors collectively configured as part of the light device to deliver light to a biological sample.
Portable apparatus for decontamination of a breast
A portable device for the decontamination of a breast. The aim of the device is to reduce the risk of mastitis, even when the patient has a medicament incompatibility. For this purpose, the invention includes a decontamination unit which decontaminates the breast at least by means of a physical method.
Cold atmospheric plasma treatment with chemical or organic compounds to modify the keratinous substrate microbiota
A skin microbiota modulation device that includes a cold plasma assembly configured to generate a cold plasma stimulus including a partially ionized gas mixture and to interrogate a biological surface with the cold plasma stimulus; and a microbiota seeding assembly including one or more target species of micobiota, the microbiota seeding assembly configured to deliver the one or more target species of micobiota to the biological surface.
Electrode arrangement for plasma treatment and device for producing a transcutaneous connection
A transcutaneous connection between an exterior and an interior of a human or animal body includes a cylindrical skin penetration piece which provides a passage through the skin and has a longitudinal axis that determines the direction of passage through the skin. Wound-healing action and reliable disinfection are effected using an annular flat electrode arrangement, which has a contact surface at an angle to the longitudinal axis, can be fastened to the skin penetration piece. The electrode arrangement includes a flat electrode and a flat dielectric shielding the electrode relative to the surface of the skin, and is designed as a counter-electrode to generate a dielectric barrier plasma between the dielectric and the surface of the skin.
Systems and methods for interior energy-activation from an exterior source
A method and a system for producing a change in a medium. The method places in a vicinity of the medium at least one energy modulation agent. The method applies an initiation energy to the medium. The initiation energy interacts with the energy modulation agent to directly or indirectly produce the change in the medium. The system includes an initiation energy source configured to apply an initiation energy to the medium to activate the energy modulation agent.
PROCESS CONTROL FOR ATMOSPHERIC PLASMA TREATMENT OF SURFACES
Disclosed is a system and method for delivering reactive species from a plasma to a treatment area by scanning a linear array of stacked plasma elements across the treatment area. Reactive species output from each plasma element is calibrated, and during scanning each plasma element is modulated with a uniformity modulation and a dose modulation, enabling a predetermined contour dose distribution of reactive species to be delivered to the treatment area.
DECONTAMINATION DEVICE AND METHOD USING ULTRASONIC CAVITATION
A method and apparatus for decontaminating substantially enclosed environments by using ultrasonic cavitation of a cleaning fluid to produce a low pressure, low air flow mist that can be activated by a nonthermal plasma actuator to create a cloud of activated hydroxyl species with the capacity to decontaminate articles, open surfaces or substantially enclosed spaces of pathogens, including bacteria, and other pathogenic microorganisms. An automated system and related non-transitory computer medium are also disclosed.
Synthesis Of Nanoparticle In Liquid, Semi-Solid Media And In Cells And Tissues Using Cold Plasma Technology
A method of forming metal nanoparticles includes applying a substance to an area of interest, applying cold plasma to the area of interest, and synthesizing nanoparticles from the substance using the cold plasma in the area of interest, wherein the substance is a solution that contains metal ions, and the nanoparticles synthesized are metallic in nature.
