ELECTROLYTIC HAND SANITIZER DEVICE
A hand sanitizer device is disclosed. The hand sanitizer device can include one or more storage chambers configured to store at least one of water and salt. The hand sanitizer device can be configured to receive a request for an amount of electrolyzed saltwater product for performing a hand disinfecting action. In response to receiving the request, the hand sanitizer device can automatically introduce a predetermined amount of water and a predetermined amount of salt into a reaction chamber and can be configured to provide a current of electricity from an electricity source and through the reaction chamber, thereby electrolyzing the contents in the reaction chamber to form an electrolyzed saltwater product.
TREATMENT OF INFECTIONS AND BIOFILM FORMATION USING A CELLULOSE SYNTHASE INHIBITOR
In one embodiment, the present application relates to methods and materials for weed control of a field of a crop plant using a cellulose biosynthesis inhibitor selected from the group consisting of ES20 and ES20-1 to ES20-9 of FIG. 1A. In another embodiment, the present disclosure relates to a method for treatment or prevention of an infection through inhibition of biofilm formation of microorganisms comprising the step of applying a therapeutic effective amount of a cellulose biosynthesis inhibitor selected from the group consisting of ES20 and ES20-1˜ES20-9 of FIG. 1A, or a salt thereof, in combination with one or more other commonly used antibiotics. A composition matter comprising said compounds and methods of use are within the scope of the present invention.
Anaerobic blood storage and pathogen inactivation method
A method for reducing hemolysis and microparticle formation during storage of pathogen reduced blood. Oxygen reduced blood compositions comprising SAGM and riboflavin having reduced hemolysis. Oxygen reduced blood compositions comprising SAGM and riboflavin having reduced microparticles. Oxygen and pathogen reduced blood compositions comprising CPAD and riboflavin having reduced hemolysis. Oxygen and pathogen reduced blood compositions comprising SAGM and riboflavin having reduced microparticles.
Method and system for tissue treatment with critical/supercritical carbon dioxide
Methods of decontaminating bone tissue and an apparatus or system for the same are provided. The methods can be multi-batch processes and include contacting the bone tissue having contaminants with carbon dioxide to decontaminate the bone tissue and to form carbon dioxide having contaminants. The contaminated carbon dioxide is collected and the contaminants are removed to obtain purified carbon dioxide which can be recycled to treat contaminated bone tissue. The contaminated carbon dioxide can be purified by bubbling it through water and/or an organic solvent followed by acid treatment, filtering and liquefying the carbon dioxide. Contaminants that can be removed from contaminated bone tissue, and in turn, from contaminated carbon dioxide include infectious organisms, bacteria, viruses, protozoa, parasites, fungi and mold or a mixture thereof.
ANTIMICROBIAL DEVICE
A device for reducing contaminants on a user's hands, the device having an antimicrobial surface with at least 60% copper. The device may have a rounded shape with a length of between approximately 2 inches and 5 inches, and a width between approximately 1 inch and 4 inches, and a depth between approximately 0.25 inches and 1 inch. In some embodiments, the antimicrobial surface may be an entire outer surface of the device. In some embodiments, the antimicrobial surface may include at least 70%, at least 80%, or at least 90% copper. In other embodiments, the antimicrobial surface may include 100% copper. Moreover, in some embodiments, the antimicrobial surface may have at least one of tin, nickel, aluminum, and zinc.
CANNABIDIOL COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention is directed to use of cannabidiol and compositions thereof as an anti-bacterial agent against multi-drug resistant bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Cannabidiol compositions and uses thereof
The present invention is directed to use of cannabidiol and compositions thereof as an anti-bacterial agent against multi-drug resistant bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
NUCLEIC ACID DECONTAMINATION METHODS
Methods and cleaning compositions for reduction of nucleic acid contamination on surfaces, in air, and in solutions using modified pectin are provided.
Silver-Sterilizing Sponge Tooth Brushing Appliance, Silver-Sterilizing Toothbrush And Method Of Manufacturing The Same
A silver-sterilizing sponge tooth brushing appliance, a silver-sterilizing toothbrush, and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. More particularly, a silver-sterilizing sponge tooth brushing appliance containing one or two or more particles selected from talc particles, ceramic particles, and inorganic mineral particles, which have an sintered silver-containing surface layer, a silver-sterilizing toothbrush, and a method of manufacturing the same. The silver-sterilizing sponge tooth brushing appliance and the silver-sterilizing toothbrush have an excellent sterilizing effect.
Adaptor for coupling to a medical container
An adaptor for coupling with a medical container, including: a tubular body receiving a pierceable elastomeric piece, defining an inner cavity of the adaptor, the pierceable elastomeric piece being movable within the tubular body between a first position, in which a distal part of the pierceable elastomeric piece forms a seal of the cavity, and a second position, proximally spaced from the first position, in which the distal part opens the seal of the cavity, an air inlet, a filtering system for filling the inner cavity with decontaminated air, and a gripping member for securing the adaptor to the medical container. Also, an assembly comprising such an adaptor and a medical container.
