Systems and Methods of Reducing Virus Migration Through A Virus Removal Filter After Feed Flow Reduction
20190336915 · 2019-11-07 ·

A valve arrangement for reducing the migration of one or more viruses through a filter when feed flow to the filter is resumed after a reduction in the feed flow. The valve arrangement includes an inlet line having an inlet port to be connected to a supply of product and an outlet port to be connected to an inlet of the filter, a pump, an outlet line, and a recirculation system. The recirculation system includes a recirculation line connecting the outlet line and the inlet line, and a check valve disposed along the recirculation line. When the check valve detects the feed flow reduction, a recirculation loop is created such that product is continuously recirculated through the filter during the reduction, thereby ensuring continuous fluid flow through the filter even during the reduction.

INTEGRATED INTRACAVITY GAS CIRCULATION TREATMENT DEVICE FOR LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY
20240173444 · 2024-05-30 ·

Disclosed is an integrated intracavity gas circulation treatment device for a laparoscopic surgery, includes a filtering unit and a driving pump unit. The filtering unit is provided with an air inlet channel, the driving pump unit is installed in the filtering unit, and communicated with the filtering unit; and the driving pump unit is provided with an air exhausting channel. The device is capable of realizing integrated installation of the filtering unit and the driving pump unit, skillful in design, compact in structure, the device is simply and conveniently used and operated by a medical worker. In the whole surgery process, stability of an air pressure in the abdominal cavity is high, an effect of gas circulation filtering is good, surgery efficiency and quality are improved, and it is guaranteed that a contaminated and non-sterilizable work piece may not be repeatedly used, so real zero infection is achieved.

METHOD FOR REMOVAL OF VIRUSES FROM BLOOD BY LECTIN AFFINITY HEMODIALYSIS
20190175812 · 2019-06-13 ·

The present invention relates to a method for using lectins that bind to pathogens having high mannose surface glycoproteins or fragments thereof which contain high mannose glycoproteins, to remove them from infected blood or plasma in an extracorporeal setting. Accordingly, the present invention provides a method for reducing viral load in an individual comprising the steps of obtaining blood or plasma from the individual, passing the blood or plasma through a porous hollow fiber membrane wherein lectin molecules are immobilized within the porous exterior portion of the membrane, collecting pass-through blood or plasma and reinfusing the pass-through blood or plasma into the individual.
