Passive continuity monitoring device with active features
A passive continuity monitoring device is disclosed. This device can be used to protect a lock or other locking device and to indicate when a breach of the lock has occurred. The lock can include a connector with a magnet at one end spaced from an other magnet. The connector can be held in tension when the lock is engaged to maintain the spacing between the magnets. A breach in the loop of the system will cause the magnets to touch and complete a circuit. The completion of the circuit can trigger an alarm, can take a picture of the surrounding area, and can transmit a signal to interested parties.
Lever return mechanism using magnets
A lever apparatus having a lever connected to a latch assembly operable to open the latch when rotated to a second position from a first position under an actuation torque. The apparatus further includes a magnet assembly with first and second magnets operably coupled to the lever apparatus. The magnet assembly is operable to generate a return torque in an opposite direction to that of the actuation torque such that the lever is returned to the first position after the actuation torque is removed from the lever.
ELECTROMECHANICAL LOCK
Electromechanical lock. Actuator (103) comprises drive head (109) rotatable by electric power (160). Access control mechanism (104) comprises driven gear (101) with cogs, and grip mechanism (111). Drive head (109) comprises two pins (210, 212) configured and positioned so that one of pins (210, 212) is in notch between two cogs (220, 222, 224, 226, 228) of driven gear (101). For opening, drive head (109) rotates driven gear (101) to open position (400), by two pins (210, 212) driving cogs (220, 222, 224, 226, 228) and overcoming grip mechanism (111), and thereby setting access control mechanism (104) to be rotatable (152) by user. If external mechanical break-in force (172) is applied, drive head (109) remains stationary by at least one of pins (210, 212) contacting at least one of cogs (220, 222, 224), and by grip mechanism (111) holding driven gear (101) stationary in locked position (200).
DOOR-OPERATING ASSEMBLY
A door-operating assembly has first and second subassemblies each having a housing, a magnet, a sleeve carrying the sleeve and rotatable in the respective housing about an axis, an actuator for rotating the first sleeve about the respective axis, and a rotation limiter restricting rotation of the respective sleeve and magnet. The magnets in a first position repel and push the respective sleeves axially away from each other such that the first rotation limiter is effective in a first direction on the first sleeve and the second rotation limiter is effective in a second rotation direction on the second sleeve. Conversely, the magnets in a second position attract and pull the sleeves axially toward each other such that the first rotation limiter is effective against the first rotation direction on the first sleeve and the second rotation limiter is effective against the second rotation direction on the second sleeve.
ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED PADLOCK
This invention relates to a padlock assembly 1 including a body 2 with a hand engageable portion 4 that is external to the body 2 forming part of an actuator mechanism 5. The actuator mechanism 5 is electrically controllable to adjust between an operable condition and an inoperable condition to adjust a condition of a lock mechanism 31.
Side action flush lock for casement window and method of operating the same
A low profile actuating window lock for casement windows having a longitudinal slot in a sidewall of the casing for the lock, wherein a fork component translates within the slot in a direction perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the handle and the handle rotates along a plane perpendicular to the fork component, the handle pivotable about a restrictor arm that pivots relative to the casing, allowing the handle to rotate fully from the locked position to the unlocked position with low clearance from the window frame. The pivot points of the handle and restrictor arm configuration allow for an over center linkage that prevents back driving the casement window lock.
Throwable microphone with magnetic lock
A magnetic lock is presented. The magnetic lock includes a base having a cylindrical opening disposed therein, and having a first magnetic element disposed in a bottom surface of the cylindrical opening of the base. The lock further includes an insert removably securable within the cylindrical opening of the base, the insert having a second magnetic element disposed along a bottom surface thereof. When the insert is inserted into the cylindrical opening of the base and the first magnetic element of the base is aligned with the second magnetic element of the insert the insert is locked within the cylindrical opening of the base. When the insert is rotated within the cylindrical opening of the base to a position wherein the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element are not aligned with each other the insert is removable from the cylindrical opening of the base.
MODULAR LOCK MECHANISM
A locking module for selectively coupling a first component and a second component of a lockable device includes a housing and a magnet arranged within said housing. A locking element is movable relative to said housing between an unlocked position and a locked position. An engagement member is operable to selectively decouple said locking element from said magnet to move said locking element between said unlocked position and said locked position.
Shock-resistant motorized locking device
A locking device includes a mobile locking member, movement of which can be prevented by a blocking member interacting with a motorized lever, where the motorized lever is capable of rotational movement about an axis with respect to the supporting structure, the centre of gravity of the lever lying on the axis, the lever being kept in a determined stable position and without rigid mechanical contact of the lever with the supporting structure apart from its axis of rotation.
LOCKING MODULE
A locking module for selectively coupling a first component and a second component of a lockable device includes a housing and a magnet arranged within said housing. A locking element is movable relative to said housing between an unlocked position and a locked position. An engagement member is rotatable about an axis to selectively decouple said locking element from said magnet to move said locking element between said unlocked position and said locked position.
