Invisible latch strike
An edge strike latch plate having a retraction means for retracting a door spring-loaded latch bolt wherein the retraction means proximates the front edge of a door jamb or proximates the front edge of door jamb architrave to protect the front edge of the door jamb and the front edge of architrave from a door spring-loaded latch bolt, protect from injury an individual, protect from damage the clothing of an individual, protect from damage the personal property of an individual, and protect pets from injury.
Method of Installing Door Hardware
A method of installing a receiving member for a latch assembly or strike assembly in a door or jamb. The receiving member including a base plate, a wall around the perimeter of the base plate, the wall extending substantially perpendicular to the base plate, and a flange extending outwardly from the perimeter of the wall distal the base plate. The base plate has an aperture therein configured to allow a latch to pass therethrough.
Lock apparatus
A latch mechanism includes a hook-handle assembly coupled to a first panel and a clevis coupled to a second panel. The hook-handle assembly engages the clevis to secure the first panel relative to the second panel.
Fenestration assembly operation hardware and methods for same
A fenestration hardware assembly includes a blade socket including a blade recess and an operator interface feature rotatably coupled with an operator housing. A latch blade is movably coupled with the operator housing. The latch blade is movable between deployed and withdrawn positions. In the deployed position at least a portion of the latch blade is received in the blade recess of the blade socket. In the withdrawn position the portion of the latch blade is recessed from the blade recess. The operator interface feature is rotatable between at least locked and unlocked configurations. In the locked configuration the latch blade is in the deployed position and received in the blade recess. In the unlocked configuration the latch blade is translated from the deployed position to the withdrawn position and withdrawn from the blade recess according to rotation of the operator interface feature.
TAMPER PROOF WALL MOUNTED STRIKE ASSEMBLY FOR BARN DOOR
Tamper proof wall mounted strike assembly for barn door is a strike or strike assembly that attaches to a wall or a door molding and functions with a lockset installed on a barn door. Tamper proof wall mounted strike assembly functions to receive the latch or deadbolt from the door lockset on the barn door wherein the latch or deadbolt can be latched or locked within the strike assembly to latch and/or lock the barn door and the latch or the deadbolt can be unlatched or unlocked within the strike assembly to unlatch and/or unlock the barn door. Tamper proof wall mounted strike assembly includes a strike housing assembly that mates with a wall plate assembly by interlocking teeth on each assembly to yield a tamper proof connection there between that is without any exposed screws or fasteners when the barn door is in the closed position to yield a tamper proof wall mounted strike assembly.
Security door system
Provided herein is a security door system having a door that includes a door frame comprising elongate door frame members, each having a first holding channel formed therein, and a clamping portion spaced from the first holding channel. The door further includes a mesh covering an opening enclosed by the frame. In addition to the above, the security door system includes a wall frame comprising elongate wall frame members operably coupled to the door frame by one or more hinge members, the hinge members facilitating pivotable movement of the door between open and closed positions and one or a plurality of security members configured to prevent or inhibit levering of the door relative to the wall frame.
Fenestration cam lock assemblies and methods
Fenestration lock assemblies, fenestration units including the lock assemblies, and methods of assembling the lock assemblies. The lock assemblies use a cam and follower design that transfers rotary motion to a lock bolt that moves in translation between an extended/locked state and a retracted/unlocked state.
Electrically operated door strike with thermally responsive element
In one aspect the present invention provides a door strike which prevents the opening of an associated door when the door strike has been heated to an elevated temperature of at least about 1000° F., preferably when the door strike is at higher temperatures such as are present during a fire in a building structure. The door strike includes a thermally responsive element which retards the normal operation of the door strike when it is at an elevated temperature. A further aspect of the invention is a method for controlling the undesired spread of a fire or smoke between adjacent spaces separated by the door wherein a fire or smoke condition exists in at least one of these spaces, via the provision of a door strike having a thermally responsive element which retards the normal operation of the door strike when it is at an elevated temperature.
Tamper-resistant locking and notification system for detention cells
A locking system that has an opening in a door adapted and arranged for receiving a lock bolt and a lock fixed in a wall for actuating a lock bolt adapting and arranged for being received by the opening in the door when the door is closed. Alternatively, the locking system is mounted on the exterior of the detention cell door and the adjacent exterior cell wall. The locking system further comprises a blocking strip protruding from a door jamb, the strip coupled to the door jamb, the strip coupled to the door jamb and positioned adjacent the lock bolt for blocking access to the lock bolt between the door and the doorjamb. The locking system further comprises a system for monitoring and reporting the status of a detention cell door, the lock bolt, and the roller bolt.
MOTORIZED ELECTRIC STRIKE
An exemplary electric strike includes a housing and a keeper pivotally mounted in the housing. The strike also includes a plunger having an extended position and a retracted position, a cage including an aperture, and a locking element movably seated in the aperture. The locking element is engaged with the plunger, and the plunger is structured to urge the locking element radially outward as the plunger moves from an extended position toward a retracted position. The strike also includes a sleeve, a transmission engaged with the sleeve, and a motor drivingly coupled to the transmission. The sleeve is structured to selectively prevent radially outward movement of the locking element and retraction of the plunger. The strike also includes at least one of a lost motion connection and an anti-tamper mechanism.
