Anti-barricading turn hub assembly for a door lockset
An anti-barricading turn hub assembly is configured for use with a lockset including a bolt movable to lock and unlock a door. The anti-barricading turn hub assembly includes a spindle connected to a thumb turn on one side of the lock. The spindle is releasably engaged to a turn hub that is operable by the key from the other side of the door. Under normal operation, the spindle and turn hub rotate together to lock and unlock the bolt. In a barricading situation in which the thumb turn is held to prevent the turn hub assembly from rotating, the turn hub disengages from the spindle upon application of sufficient force through rotation of the key, and the disengaged turn hub can be rotated to unlock the bolt even if the thumb turn is held to keep the spindle from rotating.
Fuel lid structure
A fuel lid structure that includes: a lid body at which a latched portion is formed, the lid body opening and closing an open portion formed in a vehicle body outer panel for access to a fuel fill inlet; a lid lock having: a lock member provided so as to be movable between a latching position in which the lock member latches with the latched portion and a retracted position in which the lock member is retracted from the latched portion, and an urging member that urges the lock member toward the latched portion, the lid lock locking the lid body in a closed position in a case in which the latched portion is latched by the lock member; and an attenuating member provided at the latched portion, the attenuating member contacting the lock member to attenuate the urging force that acts on the lock member.
Lock device
A lock device is provided with: a latch unit having a slit which allows a striker to enter and exit and configured to engage with and to be disengaged from the striker; and a support member for supporting a spring member outside the latch unit in such a manner that the spring member extends in the width direction of the slit. The spring member is elastically deformed when in contact with the striker having entered the slit, and as a result, the spring member applies pressing force to the striker, the pressing force acting in the direction in which the striker exits the slit.
CLOSURE LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH CHILD LOCK HAVING ASYMMETRICAL TOGGLE SPRING ARRANGEMENT
A latch assembly is provided with a child lock mechanism having a spring system including a first spring member and a separate second spring member that requires a first force to move the child lock mechanism from an off position to an on position and a second force to move the child lock mechanism from the on position to the off position, wherein the required second force is greater than the required first force, thereby indicating to a user by tactile feedback the relative position (on/off) the child lock mechanism is in, thereby assuring intended movement of the child lock mechanism from one of the on/off positions to the other.
SELF-ADJUSTING LOCKING PIECE FOR A LOCKING UNIT
A locking piece includes a housing which has a, in particular, rectangular housing opening and a slide which is arranged in the housing. At the housing side, the slide is guided so as to be able to be linearly displaced between two end positions and which has a locking arm which extends at right-angles with respect to the displacement direction of the slide and protrudes forward through the housing opening. A spring clip is arranged behind the slide, which spring clip extends in the displacement direction and which is anchored at the two clip ends thereof in the housing. The slide is arranged between the housing and the spring clip and is retained in abutment with the housing by the spring clip.
SASH AND FRAME LATCHING ASSEMBLY AND METHODS FOR SAME
A latch assembly for a fenestration assembly includes a keeper ridge configured for coupling with a fenestration frame. An assembly housing is configured for coupling with a rail of a sash, including upper or lower rails opposed to a check rail of the sash. A latch mechanism is movably coupled with the assembly housing. The latch mechanism is at least partially concealed with the rail. The latch mechanism includes a handle pivotally coupled with the assembly housing and a latch arm pivotally coupled with the assembly housing and operatively coupled with the handle. The latch arm includes a locking face configured for alignment with the keeper ridge.
Door handle device for vehicle
A door handle device for a vehicle includes a door opening prevention mechanism that is provided with an inertia lever being rotatably supported at a base frame, an inertia body being mounted to the inertia lever, and an elastic member elastically biasing the inertia lever toward an initial position where the movement of a link mechanism is not restricted by the inertia lever. The inertia lever includes a center of gravity of the inertia lever being set at a same position as a position of a center of gravity of the outside handle in an extending direction of the outside handle, the center of gravity of the inertia lever being set at a same position as a position of the center of gravity of the outside handle in vehicle upper-lower directions, or being set at a lower position relative to the center of gravity of the outside handle.
LATCH ASSEMBLIES FOR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A latch assembly for housing cover is provided. Latch assembly has switch, latch, elastic clamp, and pushbutton. Switch is disposed on first side of cover. Switch is slidable in first direction to unlocked position for unlocking latch assembly and slidable in second direction to locked position for locking latch assembly. Latch has projection for engaging and disengaging with latch slot in housing for releasably latching cover to housing. Elastic clamp has detent portion for releasable engagement with notch in second side of cover. Latch and elastic clamp are disposed on second side of cover opposite switch and coupled to switch. Pushbutton extends through aligned openings in switch, latch, and portion of elastic clamp. Latch assembly is unlocked by depressing pushbutton to impinge on elastic clamp portion, thereby disengaging detent portion from notch and by simultaneously moving the switch in the first direction.
Cylinder lock
A locking mechanism is provided for a lock body and a rotatable key plug. The locking mechanism comprises pins having recesses, each of the pins adapted to be disposed in pin bores in the key plug for reciprocal and rotational movement. An elongated spring member simultaneously engages and biases the pins toward a keyway in the key plug. A locking bar moves between a first position and a second position where at least a portion of the locking bar is received in the recesses in the pins. The locking bar is prevented from moving to the second position unless the pins are in a position where the recesses are aligned with the locking bar. Upon insertion of a key in the keyway the pins are moved axially or rotated for aligning the recesses in the pins with the locking bar so the key can rotate the key plug.
