The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, comprising a lock housing (1) and at least one lever (2) that is arranged in the lock (1) and projects through an opening (4) at least partially out of the lock (1), wherein the lever (2) is formed as a pivot lever (2) which is movable along the opening (4) and mounted in the interior and/or on the lock housing (1) and the opening (4) is equipped with at least one seal (6) that, for the most part, closes an opening gap (5).

A childproof latch is provided which may be easily installed on the inside of a closure member without power tools or the need to measure. The latch may allow partial opening of the closure member but requires an additional actions to be carried out so that the enclosure which the member closes may be freely accessed.

A refrigerator lock for selectively locking at least one door of a refrigerator into a closed position is described. The refrigerator door lock may include an anchor having an outer periphery sized to fit on a door face of the refrigerator adjacent to one or more doors seals when the door maintains the closed position. A fastener such as an adhesive may be utilized to secure the anchor to the door face of the refrigerator. An extension extends from a catch and is selectively securable to the anchor. With the extension secured to the anchor, the catch overlaps the refrigerator doors and either directly or indirectly engages the refrigerator doors to hold them in the closed position.

An adjustable position blocking device for sliding closures that firmly attaches to a glass pane of a closure and limits the sliding translation of the sliding panels of the closure. One embodiment comprises an elongated track (30) which adheres to a glass pane with very high bonding double-sided tape (40). The one embodiment also comprises a blocking slider (10) that adjustably attaches to track (30) at a plurality of track positions and is substantially tall to block the sliding translation of the sliding panels. Slider (10) comprises a modular attachment means that permits the slider (10) to be customized with blocking modules (22, 86, 96) of different form and function. In addition, one embodiment comprises a blocking module (96) which integrates an electronic device to detect the opening of a sliding closure and alert a user, a remote device or a remote system.

An installation-free rechargeable access control system is disclosed which automates the action of locking and unlocking a single-cylinder deadbolt on a door. In various embodiments, the present teachings provide a portable electronic module that can enhance the usage of deadbolts in place, instead of replacing the deadbolt mechanism itself. In various embodiments, the access control system can authenticate users and rotate a deadbolt using one or more peripheral sensing sources and wireless protocols.

A decorative door handle comprising a flexible material configured in the shape of a door handle and a malleable stiffener material to maintain the handle in a desired useful looking configuration. In one aspect the flexible material is a magnetic vinyl. In another aspect, a decorative door handle comprising molded resin having at least one magnetic insert in the back surface. In another aspect, a decorative hinge element comprising molded resin having at least one magnetic insert in the back surface.
