DAMPENER FOR AN EXIT DEVICE
A dampener for an exit device may be disposed between a portion of an exit device actuator and an exit device chassis so that the dampener dampens vibrations to reduce noise of the exit device and/or inhibit unintentional movement of the actuator to an actuated position. The dampener may be composed at least partially of a viscoelastic material.
Sliding Block
One-piece sliding block consisting of plastic, in particular for locking tongues of fittings, comprising a base portion, wall portions and a cover portion, wherein the cover portion overlaps a subregion of the base portion so as to form an insert opening for a component that can be operatively connected to the cover portion, and wherein latching means which are moulded onto the cover portion are provided in the region of the sliding block.
ATTACK-RESISTANT AND WEATHER-RESISTANT LOCK
A lock can include attack-resistant and/or weather-resistant features. Attack-resistant features can include a sacrificial link between a locking mechanism and an external keyway covering an exterior face of the locking mechanism. The sacrificial link can break during a torque attack on the lock such that the full force of the torque attack is not applied to the locking mechanism. Weather-resistant features can include drain openings in one or more housing components external to the locking mechanism to facilitate drainage of liquid matter from the lock before the liquid matter reaches the locking mechanism.
PORTABLE DOOR LOCK
A door locking device having a locking bar with a first section and a second section pivotally connected to the first section and, the second section being provided with a protrusion. There is also provided a housing having a first end comprising a face and a recess therein. The first section of the locking bar is received and retained, within the recess of the housing, and the pivotal connection is orientated with an axis of rotation that is non-parallel with the longitudinal axis of the locking bar.
DOOR LOCK DEVICE
A door lock device including: a latch; a ratchet; an output shaft configured to rotate by a motor; an output lever configured to move the latch from a half latch position to a full latch position when the output shaft is rotated in a normal direction, and to release an engagement of the ratchet to the latch when the output shaft is rotated in a reverse direction; a first metal bracket including a first shaft support hole configured to rotatably support the output shaft; and a second metal bracket including a second shaft support hole configured to rotatably support the output shaft at a location different from that of the first shaft support hole, wherein the first metal bracket and the second metal bracket are fixed to each other by two or more screw holes of the first metal bracket and two or more holes of the second metal bracket.
MOTOR VEHICLE DOOR HANDLE ARRANGEMENT WITH SEALED SPACE FOR ELECTRONICS
A motor-vehicle door handle arrangement includes a handle, the handle including at least one antenna chamber with an antenna arranged therein, the antenna having a ferromagnetic core and a coil wound around the core. The antenna has connection regions for coupling to contact pins. A connection piece is produced by one-time or repeated plastic extrusion of pre-fabricated contact pins. The connection piece is arranged in the recess of the wall of the antenna chamber in a positive and/or non-positive manner, sealing the antenna chamber.
SAFETY DOOR LATCH SYSTEM
A child safety door latch system includes interchangeable pushbutton compression springs of varying tensions proportional to selected values of thumb opposition strength. A pair is selected for a predetermined age group. A pair of handles each contain one of the selected pair of compression springs and a pushbutton. A latch includes a latch compression spring and a latch slider. A master connector is coupled to the latch slider. In a locked mode, the selected pair of compression springs cooperate with the latch compression spring such that the latch protrudes from the latch sleeve, holding the door locked.
A LOCK INDICATOR, CARTRIDGE, AND A MECHANICAL LOCK ASSEMBLY
A lock indicator and a mechanical lock assembly, comprising: a switch; a transmitter coupled to a power source; and a bolt member moveable between a retracted position and an extended position with respect to the housing, wherein the switch is configured to engage the bolt member and is actuatable by the bolt member to determine the position of the bolt member, and the transmitter is configured to transmit a signal indicative of the position of the bolt member to a remote device.
TWO-PIECE DOORSTOPS
The doorstop has upper and lower components. The upper component is wedge-shaped and is provided with a ramp which contacts a door. The lower component is in the form of a resilient and compressible pad. A downwardly facing wall of the pad rests on the floor beneath the door and has a coefficient of friction substantially greater than that of the ramp, such that the door slides substantially freely over the ramp while the downwardly facing wall of the pad resists sliding over the floor.
A LOCK FOR A TAMPER RESISTANT ASSEMBLY
A tamper-resistant lock assembly comprising a plate having a slot for receiving a key, the slot extending through the plate from an opening in a front face thereof to an exit in an opposing rear face thereof, the opening having a first profile and the exit having a second, different profile, the key comprising a shaft having a bit extending therefrom, the bit being formed of a shape memory material and being pre-configured such that its cross-sectional shape in its temporary form matches the first profile and the bit can be inserted through the slot via the opening and, upon application of a predetermined external stimulus, returns to a permanent form in which its cross-sectional shape matches the second profile and the bit can be retracted from the slot via the exit.
