Attack-resistant and weather-resistant lock
A lock can include attack-resistant and/or weather-resistant features. Attack-resistant features can include a sacrificial link between a locking mechanism and an external keyway covering an exterior face of the locking mechanism. The sacrificial link can break during a torque attack on the lock such that the full force of the torque attack is not applied to the locking mechanism. Weather-resistant features can include drain openings in one or more housing components external to the locking mechanism to facilitate drainage of liquid matter from the lock before the liquid matter reaches the locking mechanism.
Torque-limiting spindle
An exemplary torque-limiting spindle includes an input member, an output member, a clutch mechanism, and a bias mechanism. The input member extends along a longitudinal axis, is configured for connection with a handle, and includes a first engagement feature. The output member extends along the longitudinal axis, is configured for connection with a rotatable member of a lockset, and includes a second engagement feature. The clutch mechanism includes the first engagement feature and the second engagement feature. The bias mechanism is engaged with the input member and the output member and exerts a biasing force urging the first engagement feature and the second engagement feature into engagement with one another.
Retractable outside door handle assembly
A retractable outside door handle assembly has a handle unit including an outside handle having a pushing portion and mounted on a handle housing. The outside handle is configured to protrude by rotating in a first direction. An actuator includes an operation rod configured to selectively push the pushing portion. A door latch lever is rotatably mounted on the handle housing and configured to rotate during protrusion of the outside handle by operation of the actuator. A damage prevention mechanism is located between the operation rod and the pushing portion and configured to push the pushing portion when the actuator is operated. The damage prevention mechanism is configured to prevent a pushing force of the pushing portion from being transmitted to the operation rod when the outside handle rotates in a second direction opposite the first direction in a protruded state.
Latch having shear load carrying capability
A latch arrangement may comprise a latch bolt configured to rotate about a pivot, and a shear pin coupled to the latch bolt. A counterbore may receive the shear pin whereby lateral loads may be transferred between a door panel and a frame.
WEATHER-RESISTANT LOCK
A lock can include attack-resistant and/or weather-resistant features. Attack-resistant features can include a sacrificial link between a locking mechanism and an external keyway covering an exterior face of the locking mechanism. The sacrificial link can break during a torque attack on the lock such that the full force of the torque attack is not applied to the locking mechanism. Weather-resistant features can include drain openings in one or more housing components external to the locking mechanism to facilitate drainage of liquid matter from the lock before the liquid matter reaches the locking mechanism.
VEHICLE HANDLE DEVICE AND ROTATION OPERATION CLIP
A vehicle handle device configured to operate a door lock device by transmitting an operation force of an operator via a cable device, the vehicle handle device includes an operation member configured to apply the operation force to the cable device by operation of the operator, and a handle case configured to accommodate the operation member. The handle case includes a cable fixing base portion in which the cable device is configured to be disposed, a cap portion configured to fix the cable device to the cable fixing base portion, and a hinge portion which is provided on the cable fixing base portion and the cap portion and is configured to rotate the cap portion relative to the cable fixing base portion.
Pivotable bolt
A bolt assembly usable in a mortise lock. The assembly includes a bolt and tailpiece that are pivotable relative to one another. In one embodiment, the bolt and tailpiece are joined by a pin that permits the components to pivot relative to one another.
