A lock for an aircraft door. The lock includes an outer shell having an inner cavity. A core is rotatably mounted within the inner cavity to rotate about an axis of the core. The core has a keyhole extending through the core from a first end of the core for receiving a key therein, to an opposed second end of the core. The keyhole defines an air leakage path through the core. A cam has a cam arm mounted about the core and is rotatable therewith. The second end of the core protrudes from the cam. A cover is attached to the second end of the core. The cover blocks the keyhole at the second end of the core and obstructing the air leakage path. An aircraft door, methods, and a retrofit kit are also disclosed.

A lock cylinder is provided adapted to be installed in a lock comprising a lock bolt for driving the lock bolt. Said lock cylinder comprises a cylinder housing, and a revolving plug comprising a rotor element adapted to rotate with respect to the cylinder housing about a rotation axis within a rotation support, and a driving tooth for the lock bolt comprising an engage portion adapted to engage the lock bolt, said driving tooth being rotatable about the rotation axis together with the rotor element and being coupled to the rotor element in such a way the operative distance between the engage portion of the driving tooth and the rotation axis varies, while rotating about the rotation axis, as a function of the rotation angle of the rotor element with respect to the cylinder housing. When the lock cylinder is installed in the lock, said operative distance has one among a plurality of first values when the rotation angle of the rotor element belongs to a first angular interval corresponding to a position of the engage portion of the driving tooth that is proximal to the lock bolt; and said operative distance has one among a plurality of second values when the rotation angle belongs to a second angular interval corresponding to a position of the engage portion of the driving tooth that is distal to the lock bolt, each of said first values being higher than each of said second values. When the lock cylinder is installed in the lock, the lock cylinder is located below the lock bolt along a first direction substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis. the driving tooth is slidingly housed within a seat which is radially provided in the rotor element and which defines at least one side opening of the rotor element perpendicular to the rotation axis. The driving tooth is provided with at least one engage element which protrudes from a side opening along a direction parallel to the rotation axis, and adapted to slidingly engage guide profiles provided on the rotation support, said guide profiles defining for said at least one engage element an overall guide profile having an eccentric shape arranged to support from below along said first direction said at least one engage element when the rotation angle of the rotor element belongs to both the first angular interval and to the second angular interval, said overall guide profile being adapted to cause said variation of the operative distance as a function of the rotation angle of the rotor element with respect to the cylinder housing.

Method for controlling rotation of dual concentric cylinder pin-tumbler lock

A pick resistant lock assembly has two lock sections which can be opened in two stages separated by time using a single key. The first locked section is rotated slightly by the use of the key, whereupon the second locked member is released from being locked by the isolated stack of locking pin tumblers and is then also made connective to the first lock section by a gear connective to the lock housing such that the first lock section and second lock section can then be rotated together, but only if the selectively machined key had been used in the beginning, else further rotation of either member is prevented by the multiple stacks of locking pin tumblers that are common to both.

Drawer lock assemblies

A drawer lock assembly is provided including a housing having a front face and a rear face; a barrel having a first end extending perpendicularly from the front face of the housing and a second end extending through the rear face of the housing; a locking actuation member disposed through the first end of the barrel; a driver disposed through the second end of the barrel to engage the locking actuation member; a bolt including a first member offset from a second member in a parallel relationship, the first member includes a slot configured to receive a cam of the driver; and an endplate configured to retain the driver and bolt in the housing, the endplate including a channel configured to receive the second member of the bolt, wherein upon actuation of the locking actuation member, the second member extends beyond the housing to engage a recess of a structure.

HANDLE WITH FLOOR AND/OR CEILING LOCK

Described is a handle (10) with floor and/or ceiling lock which comprises: a first part (11) and a second part (12) one having an internal cavity (14); a connecting element (15) having two opposite ends (151, 152) to each of which can be fixed one of the parts (11, 12); a closing/opening device (17) comprising a knob element (18), a latch element (19) and a transmission mechanism (20) which connects them.

The second part (12) has a housing seat (22) for a Mortise cylinder unit (100) which has a lever (101) which is rotatable with respect to tan actuation axis (A).

The transmission mechanism (20) comprises a crank element (23) configured in such a way as to transform a rotation of the knob element (23) into a translation of the latch element (19) with respect to the cavity (14).

The crank element (23) faces in the housing seat (22) in such a way that a protrusion (231) of the crank element (23) interferes with a trajectory of rotation of the lever (101) of the Mortise cylinder unit (100) for operating the latch element (19).

Dual function lock cylinder assembly operable by different keys

A lock cylinder assembly includes a housing, a first cylinder disposed within a first bore formed in the housing, and a second cylinder disposed within a second bore formed in the housing, in which at least one of the first and second cylinders is an electronic cylinder. The lock cylinder assembly further includes first and second cams, in which each of the first and second cams are configured to actuate a door lock mechanism. The first cam is directly connected to the second cylinder so as to be rotatable with the second cylinder. The second cylinder and the second cam are rotatable with respect to each other so that the second cam does not rotate with the second cylinder. The second cam is rotatably coupled to the first cylinder so that the second cam rotates when the first cylinder is rotated.
