Modular cylindrical lockset

An exemplary product line system includes a common platform and a plurality of component families, each of which includes a plurality of interchangeable component species configured for use with the common platform. The common platform includes an inside drive assembly and a chassis assembly including a chassis and an outside drive assembly. A lockset assembled from the system includes the common platform and a plurality of modular components. Each of the modular components corresponds to a respective one of the component families, and is provided as a selected species of the corresponding component family. The lockset has a function defined by the set of component species installed to the lockset. The function of the lockset can be changed by altering the set of component species installed to the lockset without disassembling the chassis assembly.

Lock arrangement

The present invention is directed to a lock arrangement where a cylinder type lock with a skirt can be correctly positioned and orientated in a door latch by the use of complementary profiles that enable insertion in only one position and thereby provide ease of use and confirmation that the lock has been correctly inserted and locked.

Self-lock module

Disclosed are apparatus and corresponding methodology for the attachment of a self-contained module to any mechanical lock having a mating feature to accept it (in either of an OEM application or as a retrofit). The module enables a separate (preexisting) cam locking feature (components) to be associated with an existing mechanical lock by being fitted onto the back of the existing lock and then having the cam locking components attached to the module. In turn, the preexisting cam locking components may be fitted to the module aligned in any one of four positions (up, down, left, and right) on the back of the module for latching in any position in which the associated lock/cam strike may be installed. The cam locking components then function to allow a user to open an associated door or drawer, and when finished, slam it shut without having to rotate the lock back to a locked position. The self-contained module allows the cam locking components to be fitted to a standard, mechanical lock and still have the self-lock feature that is otherwise not available within the existing lock.

The present inventive concept relates to a push-pull door lock having a latch unit, which is provided inside a door so as to open/close the door from/to a door frame according to pushing/pulling of a handle. The latch unit comprises: a unit case which is provided to be embedded in the door so as to face the door frame; a movable bracket which is provided to be linearly movable in the unit case; an actuating cam which is provided in the movable bracket to be pivotable and is pivoted according to pushing/pulling of the handle so as to linearly move the movable bracket; an elastic member provided in the movable bracket to be elastically supported; a support block which is elastically supported by the elastic member and is provided to be latched by the movable bracket to be linearly movable along with the movable bracket; a connecting shaft provided through the support block; a latch bolt which is rotatably coupled to the connecting shaft and has an angle restriction groove formed in a portion where the connecting shaft is connected, in order to restrict the rotating angle thereof; and a fixed plate which has a through-hole through which the latch bolt passes and is fixedly coupled to the unit case.

MODULAR CYLINDRICAL LOCKSET

A key cam according to certain embodiments generally includes a shell, a lost motion driver, a plug, and a lock control lug. The shell extends along a longitudinal axis defining a proximal direction and an opposite distal direction. The lost motion driver is rotatably seated in a proximal end portion of the plug, and is operable to rotate the shell with lost rotational motion. The plug is rotatably seated in the shell and includes a proximal bowtie opening and a distal bowtie opening. The lock control lug is movably seated in the shell and projects into a lock control opening of the shell.
