Method and Device for Ozone-free Separation of Components in the Corona Discharge Zone
20220314235 · 2022-10-06 ·

In a method and device for separating components in a corona discharge zone an air stream containing water molecules is passed between at least one ionizing electrode and at least one non-ionizing electrode; and high voltage is applied to the electrodes to create a corona discharge zone consisting of a plasma region wherein ozone is formed and a dark region where predominantly hydrogen peroxide is formed. The air flow entering the corona discharge zone is divided into two separate air flows, a first of which passes through the corona discharge plasma region, and a second of which passes through the dark corona discharge region; and a negative pressure gradient is applied to the plasma region only so as to remove the ozone and thereby separate the ozone from the hydrogen peroxide.

Apparatus and methods for treatment using non-thermal plasma

An array of non-thermal plasma emitters is controlled to emit plasma based on application of an electric current at desired frequencies and a controlled power level. A power supply for an array controller includes a transformer that operates at the resonant frequency of the combined capacitance of the array and the cable connecting the array to the power supply. The power into the array is monitored by the controller and can be adjusted by the user. The controller monitors reflected power characteristics, such as harmonics of the alternating current, to determine initiation voltage of the plasma and/or resonant frequency plasma emitters. The array of non-thermal plasma emitters may be used in therapeutic, diagnostic, and/or medical sanitization applications, including where a non-thermal plasma treatment regimen is prescribed.

VEHICLE SANITIZER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF SANITIZING A VEHICLE

A vehicle sanitizer system includes a sanitizer emitter member, selectively moveable between a stowed position in a compartment of a vehicle cabin and a deployed position out of the compartment; a sensor module to detect an interior of a vehicle cabin as sensor data; and a vehicle sanitizer module, that includes one or more processors to execute a set of instructions that cause the vehicle sanitizer module to: conduct, in response to the detection, an analysis of the sensor data; identify, in response to the analysis, one or more target interior surfaces in the vehicle cabin to be sanitized; and cause, via the sanitizer emitter member and in response to the identification, generation of water vapor content into the vehicle cabin, one or more sanitizer streams directed at the identified one or more target interior surfaces.

An active oxygen supply device that is a plasma actuator equipped with a plasma generator and an ultraviolet light source in a housing having at least one opening, the plasma generator being provided with a first electrode and a second electrode with a dielectric in-between and creating an induced flow that contains ozone by applying a voltage between the two electrodes, in which the plasma actuator is positioned so that the induced flow flows outside the housing from an opening, and the ultraviolet light source irradiates the induced flow with ultraviolet rays and generates active oxygen in the induced flow; a device for conducting treatment by active oxygen; and a method for conducting treatment by active oxygen.

Device for disinfectant agent application and generation and method of use

A device for obtaining and applying a disinfectant agent and method of use are provided. The device includes a pre-processing cascade unit that activates (ionizes) air, with the activated air being supplied by an air pump to an inlet of a sprayer, where the activated air mixes with an initial working fluid (distilled water) to form an activated air-working fluid aerosol mixture that is sprayed by the sprayer into a reactor of cone-shaped volumetric cold plasma that includes divergent discharge electrodes. The device further includes a unit for generating high-voltage pulses of a nanosecond duration that is connected to the discharge electrodes and that causes the electrodes to generate electrical discharges. Upon the mixture coming into contact with the electrical discharges, potent disinfectant agents (such as peroxynitrite and one or more peroxynitrite's precursors or derivatives) are synthesized and expelled from the device.
