Systems, Cabinets And Methods For Disinfecting Objects
Methods are provided that include positioning a disinfection apparatus in proximity to a cabinet, wherein the disinfection apparatus has a base supporting a germicidal source and the base includes components operationally coupled to the germicidal source for operating the germicidal source. The method further includes inserting the germicidal source into the cabinet such that at least a portion of the base is retained exterior to the cabinet and is operationally coupled to the germicidal source. Moreover, the method includes placing one or more items into the cabinet, closing the cabinet with the germicidal source and the one or more items in the cabinet and the base of the disinfection apparatus exterior to the cabinet, and then subsequently starting the disinfection source such that the germicidal source emits a germicide into the cabinet. Systems and cabinets used to conduct the aforementioned methods are also provided.
Plasmaclave Device
Example plasmaclave devices are shown for using a plasma to sterilize objects or equipment (e.g., medical instruments, surgical devices, food preparation utensils, etc.) placed inside the plasmaclave devices. In some embodiments, the plasmaclave device includes fixed magnets, steering coils, and a high voltage electrode for generating a plasma field and controlling where the plasma field is focused, so that the plasma field is rapidly scanned over a target surface. In some embodiments, the plasmaclave device includes a high voltage coil, a motor, and a blade electrode for generating a plasma field and spinning the blade electrode, so that the plasma field is rapidly scanned over a target surface.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR STERILIZATION, DISINFECTION, SANITIZATION AND DECONTAMINATION
A sterilization, disinfection, sanitization, or decontamination system having a chamber defining a region, and a generator for creating a free radical effluent with reactive oxygen, nitrogen, and other species and/or a vaporizer. A closed loop circulating system without a free-radical destroyer is provided for supplying the mixture of free radicals from the generator mixed with the hydrogen peroxide solution in the form of the effluent to the chamber. The system is used in sterilizing, disinfecting, sanitizing, or decontaminating items in the chamber or room and, with a wound chamber, in treating wounds on a body. The wound chamber may be designed to maintain separation from wounds being treated. Various embodiments can control moisture to reduce or avoid unwanted condensation. Some embodiments can be incorporated into an appliance having a closed space, such as a washing machine. Some embodiments may include a residual coating device that deposits a bactericidal coating on sterilized items.
MEDICAL DEVICE PACKAGING WITH POWER SOURCE
A system for charging an onboard battery of a medical device prior to use of the medical device may include a package configured to accommodate the medical device therein. A power source may be disposed relative to the package and may be capable of charging the onboard battery of the medical device prior to use of the medical device. The system may be capable of being subjected to a sterilization process with the power source disposed within the second cavity. In some instances, the power source is uncharged during sterilization. In some cases, the power source is encapsulated or otherwise sealed during sterilization.
METHODS AND APPPRATUS FOR DISINFECTION OF SURFACES
A disinfectant sprayer assembly, including a tank defining a volume, a disinfectant suspension contained within the volume, a nozzle having a size variable spray opening, a pump operationally connected to the volume and to the nozzle for pumping disinfectant from the volume through the spray opening to apply disinfecting to a predetermine surface having a predetermined set of physical characteristics for a period of time, an ion generator operationally connected to the volume for ionizing the disinfectant suspension, and a microprocessor operationally connected to the size variable spray opening. The ion generator voltage, spray opening size, and distance between the predetermined surface and the spray opening are predetermined based on the predetermined set of physical characteristics of the surface.
