Aircraft door assembly
A door assembly, particularly for doors of passenger aircraft, includes a door frame, a door having a door body hingedly installed in the door frame, at least one hooking pintle attached to the door frame or an edge of the door body extending along a pintle axis, and at least one door latch connected to an edge of the door body or the door frame, respectively, the door latch having a substantially C-shaped latch body configured to rotate around an axis parallel to the pintle axis of the hooking pintle. The door assembly further includes a bistable latch and hook mechanism configured to catch the door latch in hooking engagement with the hooking pintle and to retain the door latch in a direction perpendicular to the door body in an overcenter position.
Latch system with position hold
A latch system has a pin movable along a pin axis, a control rod connected to the pin, a control wall comprising a control aperture comprising a lock hole joined to an unlock hole by a rod channel, and a control knob biased toward the pin, wherein the control knob comprises a lock tip sized to fit within each of the lock hole and the unlock hole.
Door latch
A lockable spring-biased latchbolt in some embodiments of a door latch is manipulatable from a first side (protected side) of a door by translation to an opened-door position, and a separate element situated alongside the latchbolt is manipulatable from a second side (less protected side) of the door to contact and move the latchbolt to the opened-door position only if movement of that second element is not prevented by a locked position of a locking means. The locking means in these embodiments does not interfere with opening the door from the first side. The locking means can be changed back and forth between its locked position and its unlocked position by use of a key (or combination or code) from the second side of the door, and optionally from the first side of the door with or without the key (or combination or code).
LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH REMOVABLE BATTERY
A vertical door latch assembly includes a housing and a bolt movably attached to the housing having a catch portion. A drive motor is located within the housing and is configured to selectively move a lock assembly between a locked position preventing movement of the bolt and an unlocked position allowing movement of the bolt. A battery assembly is removable from the housing when the lock assembly is in first position and fixed to the housing when the lock assembly is in a second position. A controller is in electrical communication with the drive motor and is configured to direct the actuator lock assembly between the locked position and the unlocked position.
Dead locking latch assembly
A latch assembly is provided where the latch is moveable to open and close a door by operation of a dead lock assembly that blocks or unblocks movement of a bolt. In a blocked state, a blocking cartridge of the dead lock assembly is prevented from inward movement, blocking inward movement of the bolt. Turning a door knob or door handle causes a spindle extending through the dead lock assembly to move locking bars of the dead locking assembly, the locking bars moving further apart to permit the blocking cartridge to slide there between and move inwardly into the latch housing. The bolt can now move inward by force of the doorjamb upon the bolt in order to clear the doorjamb when opening and closing the door.
Door lock for a domestic electrical appliance
A door lock for a domestic electrical appliance such as, for example, a washing machine of the top loader type includes a lock module, a housing shell for the floating mounting of the lock module on a housing wall portion of a body of the domestic appliance, a locking member which is arranged to be movable between an unlocking position and a locking position, and an electrically controllable actuator for actuating the locking member. The lock module has an insertion opening for insertion of a closing element on closing of the door of the domestic appliance. The locking member in its unlocking position allows the closing element to move out of the insertion opening and in the locking position effects blocking of the closing element against moving out of the insertion opening. At least one centring slope for the closing element is formed at the insertion opening.
Latch arrangement having a stop latch
A latch arrangement for fastening a panel of a door or a window to a frame element, the panel including a depression is provided. The latch arrangement includes a locking element pivotally mounted on the frame element and displaceable between a locked position in which the locking element is engaged with the depression of the panel locking thereby the panel to the frame element, and an unlocked position in which the locking element is disengaged from the depression of the panel unlocking thereby the panel from the frame element, a stop latch selectively deployable to secure the locking element in the locked position, precluding thereby displacement of the locking element to the unlocked position; and an actuating mechanism configured to selectively pivot the locking element away from the depression to the unlocked position.
Hoop Lock
The invention relates to a hoop lock having a lock body and a hoop which is movable relative to the lock body between an open position and a closed position, wherein a latch is arranged in the lock body that is selectively movable into an unlocked position or into a locked position, with the latch locking the hoop at the lock body when the hoop is in the closed position and the latch is in the locked position. The latch is fastened to a pivot lever pivotable about a pivot axle and is movable between the unlocked position and the locked position by a pivot movement of the pivot lever.
APPARATUS FOR LATCHING AN APPLIANCE DOOR
The present invention relates to the latching closed of doors on appliances. In particular, the present invention provides an advantageous apparatus for locking the lid of a centrifuge. Apparatus for locking an appliance door in a closed position, the apparatus comprises: a locking member for attachment to a door, the locking member having an engagement section; a locking bolt for engaging the engagement section in the locking member; a linear actuator for moving the locking bolt along an axis, wherein the linear actuator is self-locking.
Lock with linearly operating latch
A lock is provided, the lock having: a lock mechanism having a first member and a second member, the first member and the second member each being slidably mounted to a housing of the combination lock, wherein the first member is capable of movement between a first position and a second position and the second member is capable of movement between a first position and a second position and wherein movement of the first member from the first position to the second position causes the second member to move from the first position to the second position; a bolt configured for movement between a locking position and an unlocking position, the bolt preventing the second member from moving from the second position to the first position when the bolt is in the locking position.
