KEY ENCASEMENT HAVING A COMBINATION LOCK
In accordance with the invention, a key encasement is provided which enables an authorized user to obtain access to a key shrouded within the encasement by way of a combination lock. The key encasement generally includes a key, a thumb pin connected to the key, a lock assembly including a plurality of rotatable combination dials, and a housing assembly for concealing the key and lock assembly while in a shrouded, locked position.
Combination non-programmable and programmable key for security device
A security device for an item of merchandise is provided. The security device includes a non-programmable locking mechanism comprising a mechanical lock and a programmable locking mechanism comprising a monitoring circuit operatively coupled to an alarm. The security device is configured to secure an item of merchandise from theft or removal when the mechanical lock is locked and to be separated from the item of merchandise when the mechanical lock is unlocked. The alarm is configured to provide an alarm signal if the security device is separated from the item of merchandise while the monitoring circuit is armed.
ELECTRONIC KEY
An electronic key includes a mechanical key, a key housing to which the mechanical key is attached, and a charging terminal. The mechanical key is detachable from the key housing. The charging terminal is disposed in a key opposing surface that is a surface of the key housing, covered with the mechanical key in a state where the mechanical key is attached to the key housing, and exposed when the mechanical key is relatively moved from a position attached to the key housing.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING ANTENNA USING CONDUCTIVE MEMBER INCLUDED IN HOUSING
An electronic device is provided and includes a housing surrounding the electronic device, a wireless communication circuit positioned in the housing to communicate with a vehicle, and a switch connected to one of a first electrical path or a second electrical path, wherein the first electrical path includes a first antenna element extending along a first portion of the housing and the second electrical path includes a second antenna element extending along a second portion of the housing.
Electronic key for vehicle
An electronic key for a vehicle includes an upper case component of a key case, a lower case component attachable to the upper case component, and a mechanical key that is selected from among a first mechanical key that is used in a state of being totally removed from the key case and a second mechanical key that is used in a protruding state of partially protruding from the key case. The lower case component is selected, so as to correspond to the mechanical key, from among a first lower case component that accommodates the first mechanical key to be removable and a second lower case component that accommodates the second mechanical key to be movable into the protruding state.
Sliding key
A key assembly includes a key: defining a retaining recess, being slideably received in a key rail, and having a key pin; a slider: with extensions, defining a pin void receiving the key pin, and being configured to both pivot and translate with respect to the key pin; the extensions slideably received in a curved slider rail.
Electronic key for a security system with a mechanism for releasing a battery compartment cover
An electronic key for a security system including an access control system and/or driving authorization control system, for a motor vehicle, with a housing within which electronics for wireless communication with the security system are disposed. The key further includes a holding compartment formed in the housing, wherein the holding compartment an energy storage device for supplying electrical energy to the electronics is located. A cover is releasably fastened on the housing and sealingly closes the holding compartment in an inserted position of the cover. The key further includes a slot formed on the housing for receiving a mechanical key. A mechanism is disposed within the slot such that the mechanism can be activated by moving the mechanical key within the slot, whereby detachment of the cover from the housing can be effected.
Detachable identification key head
A system and method for a key, comprising a key blade having a socket that releasably engages a key head. A method includes cutting an original key head from an original key, forming a socket onto a cut end of the key blade, and attaching a key head onto the socket.
