A rekeyable lock cylinder with a cylinder body, an inner sleeve, and a plug assembly is provided. The plug assembly includes a plurality of key followers and a corresponding plurality of first racks and second racks disposed in carriers. The first racks correspond to operation of a user key and the second racks correspond to operation of a master key. As such, the lock cylinder is usable in a user/master key system. Disengaging either of the first or second racks from the key followers allows rekeying of the lock cylinder for the user key or the master key.

LOCKSET

A lockset includes a lock cylinder, a lock casing, a first lock member, a second lock member and an anti-theft member. The lock cylinder includes a key hole and a first lock slot. The lock casing includes a second lock slot. The first lock member is accommodated in the first lock slot. The second lock member is accommodated in the second lock slot. The anti-theft member is sandwiched in between the first lock member and the second lock member. When two ends of the anti-theft member are respectively located in the first lock slot and the second lock slot, the lock cylinder and the lock casing are locked. When a contact surface between the anti-theft member and the first lock member or the second lock member is aligned with a rotation interface between the lock cylinder and the lock casing, the lock cylinder and the lock casing are unlocked.

METHOD OF OPTIMIZING MEMORY WIRE ACTUATOR ENERGY OUTPUT

In some embodiments, an apparatus for locking a computing device includes an actuator, a locking protrusion connected to a first portion of the computing device, a locking receptacle connected to a second portion of the computing device, a shape memory material (SMM) wire, and a force conditioner. The SMM wire has a first state and a second state and is movable between states by the actuator. The first state and the second state have first and second lengths, respectively. Moving from the first state to the second state applies a contraction force along a longitudinal direction of the SMM wire. The force conditioner is configured to apply a return force to the SMM wire that opposes the contraction face. The return force returns the SMM wire toward the first state while moving a maximum available force of the SMM wire to the second state of the SMM wire.

Cylinder lock

A locking mechanism is provided for a lock body and a rotatable key plug. The locking mechanism comprises pins having recesses, each of the pins adapted to be disposed in pin bores in the key plug for reciprocal and rotational movement. An elongated spring member simultaneously engages and biases the pins toward a keyway in the key plug. A locking bar moves between a first position and a second position where at least a portion of the locking bar is received in the recesses in the pins. The locking bar is prevented from moving to the second position unless the pins are in a position where the recesses are aligned with the locking bar. Upon insertion of a key in the keyway the pins are moved axially or rotated for aligning the recesses in the pins with the locking bar so the key can rotate the key plug.

Cylinder lock and combination of such a lock and key

A cylinder lock includes a housing; a cylinder rotatably provided therein and having first and second ends, the cylinder extending in a longitudinal direction between the first and second ends and including an internal keyway for placing a key corresponding to the lock in the cylinder; a locking mechanism that prevents rotation of the cylinder with respect to the housing when the key is not present in the keyway; a blocking element positioned between the first and second end, and configurable to take a first position wherein the keyway is blocked such that the key cannot be placed in the keyway and a second position wherein the keyway is unblocked such that the key can be placed therein; a configuration device to configure the blocking element in the first or second position, and controllable by wireless communication between the lock and a remote control unit.
