TSA lock with multiple dial combinations
A lock includes a core, a driving member, a rotary member, a push member and a dial unit. When a TSA key is used to rotate the core clockwise, the rotary member contacts the driving member until the inclined face of the rotary member contact the push member which is pushed by a first spring toward the rotary member so that the shackle is removed from the reception hole of the push member to unlock the lock. When a correct key is used to rotate the core counter clockwise, the rotary member is rotated counter clockwise to engaging member of the rotary member is engaged with the slide slot. The driving member is pushed upward by the resilient member to contact the rotary member. The block of the driving member is removed from the recessed area of the pawl member to allow the user to set the correct combinations.
Luggage handling control installation
A control installation for handling luggage (10) in a handling space (32). The handling space (32) has a reception entrance and a discharge exit. Said installation includes a plurality of locking devices (12, 14) to enable each of said pieces of luggage to be kept locked when said luggage is received at said reception entrance. Each of said locking devices (12, 14) includes a control transmitter capable of transmitting an identification signal (36) and an unlocking signal (38) when said locking device (12, 14) is unlocked, while said handling space (32) comprises control receivers (34) to receive, on the one hand, said identification signal (36), and, on the other hand, said unlocking signal (38).
SECURITY OF AIRPORT LUGGAGE SCREENING
A master key for use in luggage screening by Government entities such as the TSA in this country or comparable organizations in other countries, or private entities authorized to screen travelers' luggage, such as at airports. The master keys are provided with facilities to enhance security and make it more difficult to misuse the keys, and may be a part of an overall system that includes components remote from the keys but interacting with them to improve security.
MULTIPLE LOCK SYSTEM FOR A LUGGAGE CASE
An apparatus for selectively securing at least a first zipper closure mechanism 125 and a second zipper closure mechanism 135 of a luggage case 100, may include a lock device 145 coupled to the luggage case 100. The lock device 145 includes a lock mechanism 158 operable between a locked and unlocked configuration, at least two securing recesses 151, 152, 153, 154 for releasable receipt of at least a portion of each of the respective first and second zipper closure mechanisms 125, 135, and at least one release member 160 for actuating the lock mechanism 158.
Luggage Tracking Device, Systems and Methods
A luggage tracking device (100), method and system. The luggage tracking device (100) includes a tracking device for capturing information, including location information received from a network and state information from at least one or more locks of an item of luggage. The luggage tracking device (100) may be configured for integration within the item of luggage. There is also provided a locking apparatus (300) for securing an item of luggage. The locking apparatus (300) has a locking element (304) which is movable between a first locked state and a second unlocked state. The apparatus includes a first locking means operable to control movement of the locking element. The apparatus also includes a first sensor (111) associated with the first locking means for detecting operation of the first locking means.
LOCK WITH LINEARLY OPERATING LATCH
A lock is provided, the lock having: a lock mechanism having a first member and a second member, the first member and the second member each being slidably mounted to a housing of the combination lock, wherein the first member is capable of movement between a first position and a second position and the second member is capable of movement between a first position and a second position and wherein movement of the first member from the first position to the second position causes the second member to move from the first position to the second position; a bolt configured for movement between a locking position and an unlocking position, the bolt preventing the second member from moving from the second position to the first position when the bolt is in the locking position.
LOCKING DEVICE
A locking device includes two locks, a supervisor-lock that controls the operability of a user-lock, and the user-lock that can unlock an associated door is disclosed. The locking device requires that both the supervisor-lock and the user-lock are unlocked for an associated door to open. Thus, if the supervisor-lock is locked, the user-lock cannot be unlocked.
