LOCKING MECHANISMS
Locking mechanisms are described herein. In one example, a locking mechanism can include an aperture to receive a lock head when the lock head is in a first position, a latch head to prevent the lock head from moving through the aperture when the lock head is in a second position, and/or an actuator coupled to the latch head to move the lock head from the second position to the first position in response to an authentication.
DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM WITH A RAPID RELEASE MECHANISM
A door locking system for a door module that separates compartments in an aircraft. Door locking system has locking element that is adapted to maintain door panel of door module in a closed position. Door locking system further includes first and second mechanisms that are adapted to release door panel from the closed position in a normal and an abnormal mode, respectively. Second mechanism is spatially segregated from and operates independently of first mechanism. Second mechanism includes locking element release actuator, pressure sensor, and controller that directs locking element release actuator to act on locking element when pressure sensor detects a difference in pressure between the compartments that exceeds a predetermined threshold.
Concealed latch
A vehicle includes a vehicle body that defines an opening, a vehicle door that is movable between a closed position and an open position with respect to the opening, a first surface, and a second surface. The first surface is defined on one of the vehicle body and the door and the second surface is defined on the other of the vehicle body and the door. A first latch portion is concealed behind the first surface. A second latch portion is concealed behind the second surface in an unlatched position and is movable to a latched position in which the second latch portion extends into the first latch portion and engages the first latch portion. A locking structure restrains disengagement of the second latch portion from the first latch portion in the latched position.
Electric door strike keeper
An actuator-controlled electric strike for operating in conjunction with a spring latch of a lockset is provided. The strike comprises a housing having an entry chamber therein, and a spring latch keeper disposed in the entry chamber for movement between a keeper locked position and a keeper unlocked position. The spring latch keeper includes a keeper face, a second surface recessed from the keeper face and a contact ridge between the keeper face and second surface. The keeper face is contactable by the spring latch when the spring latch keeper is in the keeper locked position. The contact ridge, disposed at a non-perpendicular angle with the rotational axis of the keeper is contactable by the spring latch as the keeper moves toward its unlocked position so that a contact point on said spring latch changes as said spring latch exits said entry chamber.
Cathode lock and method allowing the cathode lock to switch between normally-opened state and normally-closed state
A cathode lock comprising: a lock body 1 mounted on a door or on a door frame and a lock tongue capable of locking with the lock body 1. A lock catch 6 capable of locking with the lock tongue is arranged on the lock body 1. A solenoid 9 capable of generating an electromagnetic force when electrified is also mounted on the lock body 1. A breaking apparatus 10 capable of jamming the lock catch is connected to one end of the solenoid 9. The solenoid 9 is electrified to generate the electromagnetic force, and the breaking apparatus 10 is driven into motion under the effect of the electromagnetic force, thus allowing the breaking apparatus 10 to either be abutted against or separated from the lock catch 6. Also disclosed is a method for cathode lock to switch between a normally-opened state and a normally-closed stated.
Safe bag module having a handle with one-sided torque transmission
A device (10) for receiving notes of value has a receiving area (12) for receiving notes of value and a shaft (20) with one hook (26, 28) at each end. The hooks are movable between a locking position and an unlocked position by rotation of the shaft (20). A handle (14) is arranged on the shaft (20) so that the shaft (20) runs through a first hole (34) and a second hole (36) at both ends (16, 18) of the handle (14). The first hole (34) is formed so that upon rotation of the handle (14) within a predetermined range, a torque is transmittable to the shaft (20) via engagement between the shaft (20) and the first end (16) of the handle (14). The second hole (36) is formed so that upon rotation of the handle (14) no torque is transmitted to the shaft (20) via the second end (18).
Method for an emergency opening of a door locking device of a laundry washing and/or drying appliance
A method is provided for an emergency opening of a door locking device (1) of a door (4) of a laundry washing and/or drying appliance (100). The method includes, inserting a tool (40; 50) in the cabinet (3) of the appliance until the tool (40; 50) interacts with a safety member (53) moving the latter into a retracted position; operating a moveable handle (5) of the door and keeping it operated in such a way as to try to move a hook member (21) to an opening position, so that the hook member does not prevent a retaining member (54) from moving towards a rest position; removing the interaction between the tool (40; 50) and the safety member (53); and removing the hook member (21) from the opening (22).
The spring latch keeper is rotatable about a keeper axis of rotation. The spring latch keeper includes: a keeper face configured for abutting contact with the spring latch when the spring latch is disposed in the entry chamber and the spring latch is in the engaged position; a second surface recessed from the keeper face, and a spring latch contact ridge positioned between the keeper face and the second surface, wherein the spring latch contact ridge is disposed at a non-perpendicular angle from the keeper axis of rotation.
ELECTRIC DOOR LOCK DEVICE
A door lock device includes a tongue pivotally engaged in a housing, a latch slidably received in the housing for latching the tongue to the housing, a sliding member located above the latch for forcing the latch to engage with the tongue, a follower slidably engaged in the sliding member and having a projection for moving the sliding member away from the tongue, a lever arm is pivotally attached to the housing and includes an end portion engaged with the follower for moving the follower up and down relative to the sliding member and the housing, a rotary member is attached to the housing and includes a stud engaged with the lever arm for rotating the lever arm relative to the housing, and a link is slidably engaged in the housing and connected to the rotary member.
Safety Switch
A safety switch (2) with a latching unit (12), by means of which an associated actuator (3) is held in a latched position. The latching unit (12) has an opening (9) and a blocking element. In a latched position, the blocking element projects into the opening (9) and rear-engages an actuator head (8) of the actuator (3), which is in the latched position. The blocking element is held in the latched position by means of a positioning element with a setting force. When the actuator head (8) is inserted into or removed from the opening (9), the actuator head (8) pivots the blocking element out against the setting force.
