Exit device assembly

An exit device assembly for use in association with a door having a top, a bottom and a generally vertical surface. The exit door assembly includes an exit device configured to be mounted on the surface of the door, the exit device including a manually movable member, a latch mechanism configured to be mounted adjacent one of the top and the bottom of the door, the latch mechanism including a latch movable between a locking position and a non-locking position, and a non-rigid device for causing movement of the latch in response to movement of the manually movable member.

LOCKING SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE LATCHES
20170009489 · 2017-01-12 ·

A locking system provides multiple lockable latching mechanisms that are collectively operable and lockable from a central actuation mechanism. Each latching mechanism can be positioned and actuated independent of the positioning of others of the latching mechanisms. In particular, the latching mechanisms need not be aligned with one another. The system uses flexible connectors between the central actuation mechanism and the respective latching mechanisms. The flexible connectors can have different respective lengths.

Exterior door handle system for a passenger car, and passenger car equipped therewith

An outside-door-handle system is configured to be attached to a door of a passenger motor vehicle. The outside-door-handle system includes a holder, a lock cylinder, and a Bowden cable. The holder is configured to be fastened to the door. The lock cylinder is operatively connected to the holder. The Bowden cable has a core, and is operatively connected at one end thereof to the lock cylinder and at the other end thereof to a door lock situated in the door. At a portion that is adjacent to the lock cylinder, the core of the Bowden cable is operatively connected to a toothed rack which is operatively connected to the lock cylinder.

A key cylinder device includes: a key cylinder that is turnable between an operation position at which a door lock device can be switched and a non-operation position at which the door lock device cannot be switched; a pulling member that is moved in a first direction by turning of the key cylinder from the non-operation position to the operation position and is moved in a second direction by the turning of the key cylinder from the operation position to the non-operation position; and a connecting mechanism for connecting the pulling member to the door lock device. In the key cylinder, a first biasing member that biases the key cylinder from the operation position to the non-operation position is disposed. In the connecting mechanism, a second biasing member that biases the pulling member to move in the second direction is disposed.

EXIT DEVICE WITH REMOTE TRIM INPUT

An exemplary closure assembly includes a swinging barrier, a pushbar assembly mounted to a first side of the barrier, a remote trim assembly mounted to a second side of the barrier, and a transmission assembly that extends at least partially through the barrier and couples remote trim assembly and the pushbar assembly. The pushbar assembly includes a latchbolt and a pushbar operable to retract the latchbolt. The remote trim includes a handle that is operably coupled with the latchbolt via the transmission assembly such that the handle is operable to retract the latchbolt. The handle is positioned above the pushbar such that a vertical offset distance is defined therebetween. The offset distance is selected such that a user having a height within a selected range of heights is able to actuate the pushbar assembly, but cannot actuate the trim assembly.

Locking mechanism

The invention concerns a locking mechanism provided and adapted to interact with at least one locking element to establish a locking between the locking mechanism and the locking element, wherein the locking mechanism comprises a first locking pawl and a second locking pawl which are rotatable independently of each other about a first rotary axis, wherein the first locking pawl is provided and adapted to interact with a first locking element and wherein the second locking pawl is provided and adapted to interact with a second locking element, wherein a secured locking is present when the first locking element is locked to the first locking pawl and the second locking element is locked to the second locking pawl.

Bowden cable assembly for a vehicle door handle

A Bowden cable assembly for a vehicle door handle includes a Bowden cable having a first section connected to a first end-piece and a second section connected to a second end-piece, the first end-piece being configured to interact with the vehicle door handle and the second end-piece being configured to interact with a locking system configured to unlock a vehicle door when the vehicle door handle is being pulled by a user. The first end-piece and the second end-piece each includes a sleeve with a tip forming an abutment, and the abutments formed by the tips of the sleeves of the first end-piece and the second end-piece are configured to make contact with each other so as to block a translation of the Bowden cable when the Bowden cable has been pulled for a predetermined distance.
