COLLET LATCH
A locking module for selectively coupling a first component and a second component of a lockable device includes a locking element including a plurality of locking fingers movable between an open position and a closed position. The plurality of locking fingers being biased to said open position. A biasing mechanism is coupled to said locking element and a compression force applied by said biasing mechanism to said plurality of locking fingers controls movement of said plurality of locking fingers between said open position and said closed position. An actuator associated with said biasing mechanism is operable to control said compression force to selectively lock said locking element
LOCKING DEVICE AND SLIDING DOOR WITH LOCKING DEVICE
The invention relates to a locking device for locking a first component, in particular a door leaf, to a second component, in particular to a door frame, having a catch element for fastening to the first or second component, the catch element comprising a first latching recess; having a latching unit for fastening to the second or first component; the latching unit comprising a first latching body for engagement with the at least one latching recess of the catch element; the latching unit comprising a release element which comprises a first receiving opening for receiving the first latching body; and the release element can be moved between a rest position, which arranges the first latching body in the first latching recess of the catch element and in the receiving opening of the release element, and a release position, which releases the engagement between the first latching body and the first latching recess of the catch element. The invention also relates to a sliding door having such a locking device.
ARTICULATING HOOD PIN ASSEMBLY AND HOOD LATCH ASSEMBLY INCORPORATING THAT ARTICULATING HOOD PIN ASSEMBLY
An articulating hood pin assembly includes a double-ended ball stud, a receiver, a retention element holding the double-ended ball stud and a snap ring securing the retention element in the receiver. A hood latch assembly includes a latch mechanism and the articulating hood pin assembly.
BARREL LOCK
A lock assembly includes a cylinder portion having an open end which receives a key. The assembly further includes a stem portion operatively connected to the cylinder portion and torsion spring operatively attached to the first and second lock portions, wherein the stem portion is capable of biased rotational movement independent of the cylinder portion. The lock assembly also includes at least one locking ball received atop the stem portion, the at least one locking ball being extendable and retractable from at least one slot in a housing of the lock assembly. A compression spring received about the stem portion biases the at least one locking ball towards a distal end of the stem. During installation into a lock receptacle, the locking ball is urged radially against the stem, causing the stem to rotate against the bias of the torsion spring, as well as urged axially rearward within the slot against the bias of the compression spring. In this position, the locking ball is positioned above a relieved area of the stem, permitting the locking ball to retract into the housing.
LATCH FOR MOVABLE GRILL
A grill includes a base structure, a first platen assembly connected to the base structure, and a second platen assembly connected to the base structure. At least the second platen assembly is movable between a first position and a second position. A latch mechanism is operable to selectively retain the upper platen assembly in the second position. The latch mechanism includes a first portion and a second portion. The second portion further comprises a retaining ring movable to receive and cooperate with the first portion when the first portion and the second portion of the latch mechanism are misaligned.
Latching mechanisms, storage receptacles with latching mechanisms, and methods of manufacturing and using the same
Latching mechanisms, storage receptacles with latching mechanisms, and methods of manufacturing and using the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the latching mechanism includes a first latching element, a second latching element, and a ball-locking mechanism. The ball-locking mechanism allows the first latching element to be releasably secured to the second latching element. The latching mechanism may be integrated with a frame, which may be adjustable, and which may further be integrated with a storage receptacle, e.g., one that has a storage compartment and an opening. The components of the latching mechanism may be shaped, sized, or otherwise configured to enable, and facilitate, automated and/or semi-automated handling and manipulation. The latching mechanisms, storage receptacles, and associated handling systems described herein may be used in a logistics network operation.
Latch and release mechanisms for waste containers
A latch is provided for latching and automatically unlatching a lid from a waste container. The latch mechanism includes a release weight that moves responsive to gravity in a housing from a first position to a second position to cause the latch to disengage from a striker when the latch is rotated to a dump angular orientation. The latch includes a damper that controls movement of the release weight in the housing such that an amount of time for the release weight to move responsive to gravity from the first position to the second position is at least two times an amount of time the release weight would take to move responsive to gravity from the first position to the second position absent the effect of the damper.
LATCH AND ASSEMBLY USING THE SAME
An assembly includes a second member and a latch. The second member has a through hole. The latch includes a hollow pillar and a bolt. The hollow pillar includes a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion opposite to each other. The hollow pillar has an inserting hole. The inserting hole passes through the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion. The first engaging portion is disposed through the through hole. The bolt is inserted into the inserting hole and is movable between a first inserting position and a second inserting position. When the bolt is moved to the second inserting position along a direction from the first engaging portion pointing to the second engaging portion, the second engaging portion is expanded by the bolt to make the size of the second engaging portion become larger.
Dual-locking LOTO locking pins
A locking pin includes a body having a plurality of apertures defined through a sidewall. A closure is disposed at an end of the body. A plurality of latch bolts is disposed in the body and adjacent to the closure. Each latch bolt is moveable through a corresponding one of the apertures and between a locked position, disposed at least partially outside of the body, and an unlocked position, disposed at least substantially within the body. A keeper is coupled to each of the latch bolts and configured to retain the latch bolt in the latched position and to bias the latch bolt for movement from the locked position to the unlocked position. A mechanism selectably engages each latch bolt to move the latch bolt to the locked position, and selectably disengages from the latch bolt to allow the keeper to move the latch bolt to the unlocked position.
COVER LATCH AND LOCKING SYSTEM
A cover latch and locking system includes a first attachment device and a second attachment device. The first attachment device may include a hoop that may be configured to receive a rope, a line, or a cable (which may be referred to generally as a line or rope). The first attachment device may include a handle that may be configured to engage and/or disengage a locking feature (e.g., via a spring-loaded ball bearing). The second attachment device may include a bracket that may, for example, be configured to receive a line, such as via an aperture or hole configured to receive the line. The second attachment device can include a cam, which may be configured to rotate (e.g., revolve) about a pin and/or the bracket. The second attachment device may include a button that may be configured to engage and/or disengage a locking feature.
