Releasable locking mechanism for a refrigerated appliance

A releasable locking mechanism for a refrigerated unit. A latch plate is movable between a position that can be engaged by a deadbolt and a position clear of the deadbolt. The latch plate is moved by a door release accessible from an interior of the refrigerated unit. When the door release is activated, a pin blocks movement of the latch plate so that the refrigerated unit remains unlocked until the pin is reset.

The present disclosure discloses a door lock, comprising a cam having a notch, wherein the door hook is fixed in the cam when a door hook mounted on the door is inserted into the notch of the cam; driving means actuated by a push force from outside of the door, a pull force from outside of the door, a push from inside of the door, or by a control signal, wherein the driving means moves the cam from a locked position to an unlocked position.

REFRIGERATOR FREEZER UNIT AND SAFETY LOCK

A refrigerator freezer unit having a single refrigeration unit allowing to provide cold air to both a freezer and refrigerator compartment. The freezer refrigerator unit has an intake channel and recirculating channel allowing to displace cold air within the freezer and refrigerator compartment. The refrigerator freezer unit also has a safety lock allowing automatically controlled locking, and manual unlocking of the refrigerator and/or freezer compartment from either the exterior or interior of the unit.

COLD ROOM LATCH

A lockable latch (8) is disclosed for walk-in cold rooms which includes a lockable strike (10) with an exterior strike assembly (16) and an interior release assembly (17). The exterior strike assembly includes a housing (25) and a rod holder (32) configured to releasably hold a coupling rod (35). The exterior strike assembly also has a metal anti-rotation plate (40) removably coupled to the housing. The interior release assembly includes a turn knob (53), an escutcheon plate (54), and an index washer (55). The turn knob includes two oppositely disposed alignment projections (77) and a radial array of steps (78) which includes four, re-occurring series of three steps. The index washer has a four time re-occurring series of steps (93).

DOOR CLOSURE

Disclosed is a closure for a door of a shipping container. The closure includes a housing, an outside handle pivotally mounted relative to the housing, an inside handle pivotally mounted relative to the housing, and a catch connected to the inside handle. The closure is configured so that movement of the inside handle between a first position and a second position causes corresponding movement of the catch. A locking mechanism can releasably fix the inside handle relative to the outside handle, such that when in a locked position rotation of the outside handle causes corresponding rotation of the inside handle and when in an unlocked position the inside handle can be rotated independently of the outside handle.

Device for releasing catcher for refrigerator and freezer

The present invention relates to a catcher release device for a refrigerator and freezer, and more particularly, to a catcher release device for a refrigerator and freezer that has releasing means disposed on the inside of a side panel on which a catcher is located in such a manner as to be connected to the catcher, so that if a person is locked in the refrigerator and freezer, an inner handle of the releasing means just rotates, irrespective of a door lock device, thus allowing the catcher to be separated from the door lock device to rapidly open a door for the refrigerator and freezer.

Insulating Guide for Walk-in Commercial Refrigerator and Freezer Plunger-type Internal Door Latch Release

A safety latch release apparatus for an institutional walk-in refrigerator or freezer cabinet doors provided with a bushing inserted into the mounting plate and surrounding the plunger rod for substantially blocking the internal cabinet air from flowing into the latch release pathway through the door to the external latch release assembly. The bushing also provides enhanced support and positional guidance to maintain the plunger rod centered along the annular opening of the mounting plate and bushing so that the rod is properly operationally aligned with the rear side of the handle latch assembly.

Lockable cabinet system and locking assembly therefor

In a locking assembly for a lockable cabinet system, a base supports an electronic lock for locking and unlocking the cabinet. The electronic lock may be releasably attachable to the base at a plurality of spaced apart positions. A one-piece release bar can be connected to an override toggle of the electronic lock. First and second electronic lock override devices may be connected to the release bar for independently overriding electronic actuation of the lock. The electronic lock may be supported on the base such that the electronic lock is separated from the wall of the cavity or the base by a gap. An externally adjustable cam lock can be provided to selectively override the electronic lock. Such cam lock can further inhibit removal of a cover of the locking assembly when locked and allow removal of the cover when unlocked, thereby providing tamper-resistance.

Locking system and method for a temperature-controlled container

A locking system for a temperature-controlled container is provided. The container has an interior and a barrier having an open position allowing access to the interior of the container and a closed position blocking access to the interior of the container. The locking system includes a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature within the container; a locking device coupled to the barrier to lock the barrier in the closed position; and a controller in communication with the locking device and the temperature sensor. The controller receives the sensed temperature from the temperature sensor and controls the locking device based on the sensed temperature. The controller is configured to control the locking device to lock the barrier in the closed position when the sensed temperature rises above a predetermined threshold temperature.
