ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING SLIDE DOOR AUTOMATICALLY OPENED OR CLOSED
An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a housing defining an opening, a driving actuator, a slide door moveable to selectively cover and expose the opening, a link connecting the slide door and the driving actuator, the link linearly moveable in accordance with a driving operation of the driving actuator to move the slide door, a forcible open blocker that is moveable to restrict opening of the slide door when the opening is closed, and to release blockage of the opening of the slide door based on a linear movement of the link, and a processor. The processor implements the method, including: receiving an external input signal and identify whether to expose or cover the opening based on the external input signal, and activating the driving actuator to expose or cover the opening according to a result of the identification.
Electronic device, dock for electronic device, and electronic system
An electronic device includes a first housing section and a second housing section of which one side is rotatably connected to the first housing section. A locking portion including a recessed portion which is recessed in a first direction is disposed in the first housing section, and a locking member that is movable between a first position and a second position and is urged toward the second position is disposed in the second housing section. A limiting member that is configured to move between the first position and the second position with insertion of an anchoring member and is configured to limit movement of the locking member from the second position to the first position is disposed in the second housing section.
Lock mechanism and holding structure for electronic device
A lock mechanism including a main body, a base, a rotating component and a position limiting component is provided. The base is slidably connected to the main body, and the main body is sleeved on the base. The rotating component is pivoted to the main body, and the rotating component is configured to drive the base to slide relative to the main body. The position limiting component is coupled to the rotating component so as to lock the rotating component with one of the main body and the base. A holding structure of an electronic device is also provided.
SECURITY LOCKING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a security locking system of the type comprising a cylinder (3) provided with a set of pistons (8) that are able to be positioned by elastic means on the impression formed in the edge (7b, 7c) of a control key (7) perpendicularly to the direction in which said key (7) is introduced into the cylinder (3), these pistons (8) being able to take up two positions, namely a position retracted into the cylinder (3) when the key (7) is introduced into the latter and an extended position when the key (7) is withdrawn there from. This system is characterized in that:the cylinder is made up of a locking block (3) of parallelepipedal shape that is able to be received in a receiving block (5),it comprises locking means which are activated when the locking block (3) is introduced into the receiving block (5).
LOCKING ASSEMBLY FOR ELECTRONIC TABLET AND OTHER DEVICES
A method for securing a portable electronic device having a housing to a substantially immovable object utilizing a locking assembly having a security rod or spike formed with an anchoring end separated axially by a protruding end, a locking device with an internal locking mechanism and a cable permanently attached to the locking device at one end, includes several steps. The steps include securedly fixing the anchoring end of the security rod or spike to the portable electronic device upon or through the housing, attaching an other end of the cable to the substantially immovable object and inserting the protruding end of the security rod into an opening in the locking device to actuate the internal locking mechanism and lock the locking device to the captive security rod. Locking the security rod to the locking device concurrently locks the portable electronic device to which it is anchored to the substantially immovable object.
GRAVITY-ACTIVATED MAGNETIC LATCHING SYSTEM
An electronic device has a body with a first portion (e.g., a lid) and a second portion (e.g., a base). The first portion includes magnets, while the second portion includes attractive elements that the magnets are attracted to. The first and second portions may be coupled together with hinges. The force of magnetic attraction between the magnets and the attractive elements maintain the body in a closed configuration at certain orientations of the body (e.g., at certain angles that the body is tilted relative to an axis in the direction of the Earth's gravity). When the body is positioned at a threshold angle with respect to the axis in the direction of the Earth's gravity, a separating force acting on the (first or second) portion of the body that is closer to the Earth becomes greater than the force of magnetic attraction, causing the portions to separate and the body to be in an open configuration.
ADJUSTABLE CLOSURE MAGNET FOR HINGED DEVICE WITH ASSISTED OPEN
A closure device includes a first magnet and a housing with a second magnet positioned therein. The first magnet is configured to be position in a first object and the housing is configured to be positioned in a second object. The housing has a top end and at least one adjustment mechanism connected to the housing that moves the second magnet in at least one translational direction or at least one rotational direction relative to the top end of the housing. The movement of the second magnet relative to the top end of the housing adjusts the position or orientation of the second magnet relative to the first magnet to alter a magnetic force between the first magnet and the second magnet when the first magnet is positioned proximate the top end of the housing.
Rollable extended mobile device display
One or more computer processors detect a computing device within a proximity to a rollable device. The one or more computer processors determine a location and an orientation of the rollable device relative to the computing device. The one or more computer processors attach the rollable device to the computing device utilizing the set of biometric locks engaged programmatically such that at least one side of the rollable device is locked and hinged to the computing device. The one or more computer processors responsive to the rollable device attached to a side of the computing device, extend a display area of the computing device to the rollable device.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes a first unit, a second unit, and a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism includes: an engagement projection provided on a third side surface of the first unit; a latch provided on a fourth side surface of the second unit, the latch being rotatable around a rotation axis provided perpendicular to the fourth side surface between a first rotational position where the latch does not engage with the engagement projection and a second rotational position where the latch is engageable with the engagement projection, and an urging member that urges the latch to be positioned at the second rotational position. The latch has an inclined part. When the latch is located at the second rotational position and the first unit is changed to a closed state from a state where the first unit is not closed, the inclined part abuts on the engagement projection during the change.
EXTERNAL LOCKING DEVICE
An external locking device is mounted on a holder. An operation member of the holder is moved between a first position where the operation member is substantially flush with an exterior of the holder and a second position where the operation member protrudes from the exterior. A first electronic device is detached from the holder when the operation member moved to the second position. The external locking device includes a locking member, a shaft member that rotates to a locking position during locking of the locking member and rotates to an unlocking position during unlocking of the locking member, and a moving member. When the shaft member is located at the locking position, the moving member moves to a space where the operation member is to be located at the second position. When the shaft member is located at the unlocking position, the moving member retreats from the space.
