Vehicle door unit and vehicle with door unit
10301005 · 2019-05-28 · ·

A vehicle door unit comprises a rotating lever supported rotatably about a first shaft at a first end, a door mounting coupled rotatably about a second shaft to a second end of the rotating lever, a door attached to the door mounting and being configured to cover an opening in a vehicle and to close off a vehicle interior, and a drive unit configured to rotate the rotating lever about the first shaft between a closed position and an open position. The rotating lever is configured to move the second shaft, on a movement from the closed position to the open position, on a circular path, due to which the door mounting is first moved into the vehicle interior and, on further rotation of the rotating lever, out of the vehicle interior.

EMERGENCY EXIT WINDOW SYSTEM

There are provided emergency exit window systems. In one form, there is provided an emergency exit window system that includes: a frame; a sash pivotally carried by the frame so as to pivot between a closed position in which the sash is flush with the frame, and an open position permitting human egress through the frame; and a locking mechanism adapted for locking the window sash in the closed position. The locking mechanism may include a locking arm movably carried by the sash, wherein the locking arm is movable relative to the sash between a lock position and an unlock position. Further, the locking mechanism may include at least one biasing member acting between the locking arm and the sash to bias the locking arm toward the lock position; an inwardly projecting locking catch fixedly carried by the frame; and an inwardly projecting safety guard movably carried by the frame.

MANUAL RELEASE SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD

An emergency escape system is provided. The system comprises a quick release safety pin, a manual release box configured with a metal jacket that contains the pin, and a swing arm attached via a rod to a locking mechanism, the swing arm held immobile by the pin. Upon release of the pin, the arm is configured to move in a horizontal direction and cause the rod to pull and release the locking mechanism from an engaged position. The locking mechanism, when in engaged position, securely maintains at least one of a window, a door, and a panel. The safety pin, the metal jacket, and the swing arm are positioned on an outward facing surface of the manual release box. A load spring surrounding the rod is manipulated by action of the swing arm and causes release of the locking mechanism.

Casement window opening control device with sliding arms

A device may limit opening of a sash hingedly coupled to a master frame, and includes: a bracket attached to the sash; a first arm having a first end pivotally coupled to the bracket; a second arm having a first end pivotally coupled to the first arm's second end; means for biasing the second arm into a retracted position; and a release assembly. The release assembly is secured to the master frame and includes a hook pivotable between a first position and a second position, which, in the first position, may be releasably received in an opening in the second end of the second arm when the second arm is in the retracted position, as the sash is closed and received within the master window frame The second arm is disengaged from the hook, permitting full opening of the sash, when the hook is pivoted into the second position.

Quick release system and method

A system and method for a quick release of a second object from a first object, e.g., quick release of hurricane panels (second object) from the inside of a habitable structure (first object). A stepped quick release bolt assembly or a dual quick release car assembly may be employed. In the preferred embodiment, a pin passing through a cross bored hole in a stepped bolt disposed in a receiving structure attached to a first object is releasable in order to disconnect the second object from the first object.

The egress window assembly uses a three piece window frame design that allows an outer egress frame to be manually separated from the window assembly to provide emergency egress from the vehicle or structure. In addition to the egress window frame, the egress window assembly includes an egress window frame, an interior window frame, an exterior window frame and a release mechanism that detachably secures the egress frame to the exterior window frame. The release mechanism uses rotating handles on the interior window frames and internal slides bars that shift between the locked and unlocked positions that free the egress frame from the egress window assembly.
