The present invention is an improved electronic lock for use on cargo containers, storage trailers, tractor-trailers, houses, sheds, vehicles or other structures. The improved electronic lock communicates with a mobile wireless communication device such as a smart phone, and may be selectively locked or unlocked. The improved electronic lock may be configured as two independent locking mechanisms within one locking unit and having a traditional shackle-style locking portion and another locking shank portion for securing (or sealing) door latch bars commonly found on tractor-trailer cargo doors. The improved electronic lock further includes a Global Positioning System (GPS) so that the secured (or sealed) cargo container or trailer can be tracked by the improved lock device's location.

Portable lock

The invention relates to a portable lock having an unlocking motor, an authentication module for authenticating a user of the lock by which the unlocking motor can be actuated to unlock the lock on a successful user authentication, and having a transport security element that can be actuated by the user and whose actuation moves the lock into a transport security mode in which an unlocking of the lock is precluded. A further subject matter is a locking system comprising such a lock and a mobile end device by means of which a user of the lock can authenticate himself thereat. The invention furthermore relates to a method of unlocking a mobile lock.

There is provided a lock which can include a shackle which can be moved between an unlocked configuration and a locked configuration. A locking mechanism can be carried by the lock. The locking mechanism can include a guard which can be actuated in a manner such that an access region can be defined to facilitate movement of the shackle such that the shackle can be moved to be in an unlocked configuration. The guard can also be actuated in a manner so as to block the access region to impede movement of the shackle when in the locked configuration such that the shackle is maintained in the locked configuration.

PADLOCK WITH REMOVABLE OR INTERCHANGEABLE SHACKLE

A padlock having a removable or interchangeable shackle is disclosed. The padlock comprises a lock body and a shackle, the shackle being movable in an axial direction between a locked position and an unlocked position, the short leg being withdrawn from the lock body in the unlocked position. The padlock also comprises a retaining shaft receivable within a corresponding bore of the lock body, wherein the long leg includes a longitudinal recess for providing a travel path for the movement of the shackle from a locked position defined by the retaining shaft engaging a first end of the longitudinal recess to an unlocked position defined by the retaining shaft engaging a second end of the longitudinal recess to prevent the shackle from being removed from the lock body when the shackle is in the unlocked position.

HOOP LOCK WITH ANTI-ROTATION FEATURES

A hoop lock including a shackle and a crossbar, with the shackle having a pair of legs extending from a body portion, and each of the legs having a foot including a tip with a non-circular cross-section. The cross-bar includes a housing having a pair of foot-receiving openings and a pair of tip-receiving openings substantially aligned with foot-receiving openings. The tip-receiving openings are configured to matingly engage the tips such that the tips are rotationally coupled to the housing.

INTELLIGENT LOCK

The present disclosure provides an intelligent lock. In an embodiment, the intelligent lock includes: a lock body having a lock hole; a lock lever, the lock lever being capable of being plugged into and being unplugged out of the lock hole of the lock body; a first restricting member movably provided inside the lock body, and capable of being moved and latched into the lock hole to restrict the plugging of the lock lever into the lock hole or the unplugging of the lock lever out of the lock hole; a second restricting member movably provided inside the lock body, and capable of being abutted against the first restricting member so as to restrict a movement of the first restricting member; a detecting device provided in the lock body, and configured to detect the plugging operation of the lock lever into the lock hole or the unplugging operation of the lock lever out of the lock hole and to send a detection signal; and a main control element communicatively connected to the detecting device, and configured to determine a locking state of the intelligent lock in accordance with the detection signal sent by the detecting device.

Lockout management systems and methods with multi-keyholder electronic locking devices

This disclosure provides systems and methods for lockout-tagout procedures and systems supporting the same, including, without limitation, locking devices that can store and be locked simultaneously by multiple keyholders. In various embodiments, a single user can add multiple keyholders to a locking device. The user may not be able to remove anyone as a keyholder except himself or herself. Thus, the locking device may remain in a locked state until each of the added keyholders applies their digital key, password, PIN, and/or other personal identifying information to unlock the locking device by removing themselves as a keyholder.
