Lockbox with multi-position shackle
A lock assembly includes a lock body and a U-shaped shackle having a curved portion extending between first and second legs receivable in first and second shackle apertures in an upper portion of the lockbox body. The shackle has a guard wall affixed to an interior surface of the curved portion, the guard wall defining an interior arcuate wall surface extending forward and rearward from a central plane bisecting the shackle. The upper portion of the lock body includes first and second protruding projections at least partially surrounding the first and second shackle apertures and defining first and second upwardly diverging interior surfaces laterally aligned with the curved portion of the shackle. The lock body includes a latching mechanism configured to secure the shackle in a plurality of latched positions to adjust a distance between the first and second upwardly diverging interior surfaces and the curved portion of the shackle. When the shackle is secured around a door handle with the shackle secured in a suitable one of the plurality of latched positions, abutment of the interior arcuate wall surface with a neck portion of the door handle impedes forward and rearward rotation of the lock assembly about a horizontal axis extending through the curved portion of the shackle and abutment of the first and second upwardly diverging interior surfaces with a neck portion of the door handle impedes side-to-side twisting rotation of the lock assembly about a vertical axis extending through the curved portion of the shackle.
Tamper-resistant lock
A locking system includes a tamper-resistant lock and key. The tamper-resistant lock can include a cylindrical lock body with an upper portion having an engagement surface defining a pattern of engagement features, a housing, and a hidden component sized and shaped to fit within the housing that includes an internal lock base into which the cylindrical lock body fastens and a padlock pin configured to secure the internal lock base to a hasp or staple. The key operable for use with the tamper-resistant lock can include a cylindrical key body defining an engagement cavity configured to receive the engagement surface of the cylindrical lock body, a set of complementary engagement features, a plurality of retractable engagement members, and a retractable collar at least partially covering the cylindrical key body.
Compact bike lock
An exemplary shackle is configured for use with a crossbar having a pair of openings and a locking mechanism including a pair of deadbolts. The shackle includes a substantially flat plate portion having a length in a longitudinal direction, a width in a transverse direction, and a thickness along a lateral axis defining a proximal direction and a distal direction. The length is greater than the width, which is greater than the thickness. The shackle further includes a pair of longitudinally-offset legs extending distally from the plate portion. Each leg has a diameter, and includes a bumper and a notch positioned distally of the bumper. An offset distance is defined between the distal surface of the plate portion and the distal faces of the bumpers. The width of the plate portion is greater than each of the diameter and the offset distance.
Hoop lock with dual locking
A hoop lock including a shackle, a crossbar, and a locking assembly operable to secure the shackle to the crossbar. The shackle may include a straight foot and a bent foot, and the locking assembly may engage the straight foot and the bent foot to secure the shackle to the crossbar.
Hoop lock with bent foot engagement
A hoop lock assembly including a shackle and a crossbar. The shackle includes a straight foot and an angled foot. The crossbar is operable to receive the straight foot and the angled foot, and includes a primary locking mechanism and a secondary locking mechanism. The primary locking mechanism is operable to selectively prevent removal of the straight foot from the crossbar. The secondary locking mechanism is operable to selectively prevent removal of the angled foot from the crossbar.
Two-Wheeler Lock Having An Alarm Function
A lock having an alarm function for a two-wheeler comprises a lock body and a securing hoop movable relative to the lock body between a securing position for securing the two-wheeler and an open position for releasing the two-wheeler. The lock body has a locking mechanism to selectively lock the securing hoop to the lock body in the securing position, and further comprises an alarm device for outputting an alarm signal. The locking mechanism can selectively be moved into an unlocked position, a locked position, or an alarm activation position, with the securing hoop being released for a movement into the open position in the unlocked position, with the securing hoop located in the securing position being locked at the lock body in the locked position, and with the alarm device being activated or being able to be activated by moving the locking mechanism into the alarm activation position.
Wireless ultra-low power portable lock
A wireless ultra-low power portable lock may be realized as a lock apparatus including: a locking mechanism having at least locked and unlocked states, the locking mechanism operable to provide physical resistance to being unlocked when in the locked state; an actuator operable to move the locking mechanism from the locked state to the unlocked state in response to a received signal; and a controlling unit configured to control the actuator and to receive one or more signals from one or more devices external to the lock apparatus.
LOCK, LOCK MEMBER, LOCK MECHANISM HAVING THE LOCK MEMBER, AND SAFE HAVING THE LOCK, LOCK MEMBER, AND LOCK MECHANISM
A conventional safe proper becomes useless when unable to be locked or unlocked, thereby causing a waste of resources. Locks capable of being locked/unlocked are provided to unfasten a common fastening member, so as to open a door or lid from the body, allow each lock to be freely mounted on and dismounted from a lock mounting portion, and dispose a false lock on each lock. An operating means of locking/unlocking any one of the locks is provided to enable persistent use of a common latch disposed at an identity opening of a safe proper.
LOCKING MODULE
A locking module for selectively coupling a first component and a second component of a lockable device includes a locking member rotatable about an axis between a rest position and an actuated position. An engagement member is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The engagement member is configured to cooperate with said locking member to selectively release the second component.
