Padlock with removable or interchangeable shackle
A padlock having a removable or interchangeable shackle is disclosed. The padlock comprises a lock body and a shackle, the shackle being movable in an axial direction between a locked position and an unlocked position, the short leg being withdrawn from the lock body in the unlocked position. The padlock also comprises a retaining shaft receivable within a corresponding bore of the lock body, wherein the long leg includes a longitudinal recess for providing a travel path for the movement of the shackle from a locked position defined by the retaining shaft engaging a first end of the longitudinal recess to an unlocked position defined by the retaining shaft engaging a second end of the longitudinal recess to prevent the shackle from being removed from the lock body when the shackle is in the unlocked position.
PADLOCK WITH REPLACEABLE LOCK HOOP
A padlock comprising a lock body; a U-shaped lock hoop that has a circular cross-section, that is displaceably held at the lock body between a closed position and an open position, and that has a first hoop limb and a second hoop limb that is longer than the first hoop limb; and a locking device in the lock body for locking the lock hoop to the lock body in the closed position of the lock hoop. The locking device comprises at least one latch element and can be adjusted between a locked position, in which the latch element engages into an engagement recess in the closed position of the lock hoop, said engagement recess being formed in a flank of the second hoop limb facing the first hoop limb, and an unlocked position in which the latch element is located outside the engagement recess. In the second hoop limb, a peripheral groove is formed which is located closer to the free end of the second hoop limb than the engagement recess and into which the latch element engages in the open position of the lock hoop. The second hoop limb has a passage that extends between the free end of the second hoop limb and the peripheral groove and that has a surface that is recessed with respect to the circular cross-section of the lock hoop. The second hoop limb receives a blocking element between its free end and the peripheral groove, said blocking element projecting over the recessed surface of the passage in order to prevent, in the open position of the lock hoop, a passing of the latch element through the passage, starting from the peripheral groove.
PORTABLE LOCK
The invention relates to a portable lock having an unlocking motor, an authentication module for authenticating a user of the lock by which the unlocking motor can be actuated to unlock the lock on a successful user authentication, and having a transport security element that can be actuated by the user and whose actuation moves the lock into a transport security mode in which an unlocking of the lock is precluded. A further subject matter is a locking system comprising such a lock and a mobile end device by means of which a user of the lock can authenticate himself thereat. The invention furthermore relates to a method of unlocking a mobile lock.
PORTABLE LOCK
The invention relates to a portable lock having an unlocking motor, an authentication for authenticating the user of the lock, and an actuation element that can be actuated by the user and by means of which the unlocking motor can be activated to unlock the lock after a successful authentication of the user. A further subject matter is a locking system comprising such a lock and a mobile end device by means of which a user of the lock can authenticate himself thereat. The invention also relates to a method of unlocking a mobile lock.
THEFT DETERRENT DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A theft deterrent device includes a locking portion and a housing portion. The locking portion includes a locking mechanism. The housing portion includes a housing portion wall. The housing portion wall comprises a first material and is configured to house a second material within the housing portion wall. The second material is made of a different material than the first material. The second material is selected such that a cutting tool will be hindered when trying to cut through the housing portion.
LOCKOUT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS WITH MULTI-KEYHOLDER ELECTRONIC LOCKING DEVICES
This disclosure provides systems and methods for lockout-tagout procedures and systems supporting the same, including, without limitation, locking devices that can store and be locked simultaneously by multiple keyholders. In various embodiments, a single user can add multiple keyholders to a locking device. The user may not be able to remove anyone as a keyholder except himself or herself. Thus, the locking device may remain in a locked state until each of the added keyholders applies their digital key, password, PIN, and/or other personal identifying information to unlock the locking device by removing themselves as a keyholder.
TAMPER-RESISTANT LOCK
A locking system includes a tamper-resistant lock and key. The tamper-resistant lock can include a cylindrical lock body with an upper portion having an engagement surface defining a pattern of engagement features, a housing, and a hidden component sized and shaped to fit within the housing that includes an internal lock base into which the cylindrical lock body fastens and a padlock pin configured to secure the internal lock base to a hasp or staple. The key operable for use with the tamper-resistant lock can include a cylindrical key body defining an engagement cavity configured to receive the engagement surface of the cylindrical lock body, a set of complementary engagement features, a plurality of retractable engagement members, and a retractable collar at least partially covering the cylindrical key body.
Universal Locking Device
A locking device includes a locking mechanism configured to lock and unlock different types of objects upon a corresponding command from a separate remote device such as a smartphone controlled by a user and running an application program. A motion sensor senses any physical motion of the locking device, and an alarm provides a visual and/or audible alarm upon sensed motion or tampering of the locking device. A location tracker (GPS) continuously senses a location of the locking device. A communication module is in two-way (cellular) signal communication with the remote device, which transmits signals to the communication module indicative of a user command to lock and unlock the locking mechanism. The communication module transmits signals to the remote device indicative of a status of various parameters of the locking device. A processor is configured for signal processing of the various signals within the locking device.
Mobile electronic lock
A portable electronic lock comprises a lock body and at least one securing part, in particular a U hoop or a bolt, that can be selectively locked to the lock body or released from the lock body. The lock body further comprises a first introduction opening and a second introduction opening for introducing a respective section of the at least one securing part into the lock body; an electromechanical locking device that has a first latch and a second latch, a cam rotatable about an axis of rotation and an electric motor for driving the cam; and a control circuit. The first latch can be displaced by means of the cam from an unlocked position into a locked position in which the first latch engages into the first introduction opening in order to lock the at least one securing part in the first introduction opening, and the second latch can be displaced by means of the cam from an unlocked position into a locked position in which the second latch engages into the second introduction opening in order to lock the at least one securing part in the second introduction opening. The control circuit is configured to control the electric motor to drive the cam.
Lock, lock member, lock mechanism having the lock member, and safe having the lock, lock member, and lock mechanism
A conventional safe proper becomes useless when unable to be locked or unlocked, thereby causing a waste of resources. Locks capable of being locked/unlocked are provided to unfasten a common fastening member, so as to open a door or lid from the body, allow each lock to be freely mounted on and dismounted from a lock mounting portion, and dispose a false lock on each lock. Operation of locking/unlocking any one of the locks is provided to enable persistent use of a common latch disposed at an identity opening of a safe proper.
