Bar lock assembly
A bar lock assembly including a lock rod having first and second lock rod portions and defines a rotational axis. A second lock rod portion section telescopically extends from the first lock rod portion when the bar lock assembly is in a first condition. The second lock rod portion is substantially retracted within the first lock rod portion when the bar lock assembly is in a second condition. An elongated handle having opposed ends extends from the first lock rod portion. One handle end is pivotally connected to the first lock rod about a fixed axis. Linkage between the handle and the second lock rod portion telescopically moves the second lock rod portion. This lock bar assembly is configured such that an angle of about 45° is established between the handle and a generally horizontal plane when in the first position to enhance ergonomic operation of the bar lock assembly.
Hasp assembly for a hidden-shackle padlock
A hasp bracket may include a shield wall and a mounting plate orthogonal to the shield wall. The mounting plate may include a bolt aperture member extending from an inward edge of the mounting plate. The mounting plate may include one or more apertures in a surface of the mounting plate. The one or more apertures may be located in an area bounded by the shield wall and the inward edge of the mounting plate.
Lid locking apparatus and method for trash container
A trash container lid locking apparatus, comprising a pivot device comprising a mounting plate including a front mounting section and a side mounting section configured to be secured to both a front and a side of a trash container, a pivot arm having a first end pivotally coupled to the mounting plate and a second end, the second end having an attachment portion to couple to an elongated bar which is longer than the front of the trash container, and wherein the side mounting section of the mounting plate forms a spacer section to space the pivot arm a predetermined, consistent, fixed distance from the front of the trash container.
CONTAINER LOCKING SYSTEM
A locking system and method of manufacture can include: a cargo container having a first container door, a second container door, and a container frame base; a lock box affixed to the second container door, the lock box extended into and through the second container door, the lock box including a sliding lock rod configured to extend behind the first container door when the lock box is in a locked configuration; a sliding lock rod guard affixed to a first exterior surface of the first container door and affixed to a second exterior surface of the second container door; door guards affixed to the second container door and the first container door; and a drop lock affixed to an interior surface of the first container door, the drop lock including a drop lock rod configured to extend down into the container frame base when the drop lock is in the locked configuration.
Double-aperture apparatus for attaching lock or lockbox to door lever
Apparatus for attaching a lockbox used for retaining a key to a door opened by the key to a door handle and especially a door lever used to open and close the door. The apparatus includes two arms each having a head portion and a bottom portion below the head portion. The arms have an open state in which the head portions are at least partly separated from one another, and a closed state in which two different-sized apertures are defined between the head portions and separately receive the door handle. The arms are positionable around the door handle or removable from such a position when in the open state. The arms are maintained in the closed state and movement thereof from the closed state to the open state is prevented by inserting a shackle of the lockbox through a staple engaged with both arms.
Lockout prevention system for electrical disconnects/safety switches
A lockout prevention system for safety switches. The system may be universal, in that it may be installed on various different brands and styles of industrial safety switch gear boxes. The system blocks a locking aperture when a lever arm is in a “non-off position” (e.g. displaced away from the “off” position). This prevents users from accidentally locking a padlock in the locking aperture while the switch is in an “on position”. The system still allows a user to lock the lever arm in the “off position”. The device may be universally mounted to switch boxes using two or more bolts. Further, the system is height-adjustable.
Parking brake mechanism
Parking Brake Mechanism, particularly suited for an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) with a security feature is manually engaged by foot or hand and is automatically disengaged by spring action when the ATV operator presses the vehicle brake pedal to shift the transmission lever into “drive”. The present invention also allows the operator to secure the vehicle with the parking brake engaged. The vehicle brake mechanism is activated and held on by the parking brake unit; therefore, immobilizing the vehicle.
TEMPORARY STRIKE PLATE WITH LOCKING FEATURES
A door locking apparatus is provided which includes an integrated plate having a strike plate adjoined to an extension, and a lock coupled to a flexible elongate member. The strike plate includes an aperture and fastener holes, and is configured such that it securely affixes to the recess of a door frame when the door is open. The extension is shaped to protrude from the surrounding frame when the strike plate is installed to the frame. The elongate member extends from the extension and is of sufficient length to wrap around a door handle when the door is closed. The lock can pass through the elongate member and an intermediate portion thereof passes through the lock, or, through an opening in the extension such that the door cannot be opened without unlocking the lock and removing it from the elongate member when the elongate member is wrapped around the handle.
Container locking system
A locking system and method of manufacture can include: a cargo container having a first container door, a second container door, and a container frame base; a lock box affixed to the second container door, the lock box extended into and through the second container door, the lock box including a sliding lock rod configured to extend behind the first container door when the lock box is in a locked configuration; a sliding lock rod guard affixed to an exterior surface of the first container door and affixed to the exterior surface of the second container door; door guards affixed to the second container door and the first container door; and a drop lock affixed to an interior surface of the first container door, the drop lock including a drop lock rod configured to extend down into the container frame base when the drop lock is in a locked configuration.
Locking system for a fuel compartment assembly of a work vehicle
A locking system for a fuel compartment assembly of a work vehicle, the locking system having a housing at least partially defining a fuel access compartment, a door pivotally coupled to the housing and movable between an opened position, at which the door provides access to the fuel access compartment, and a closed position, at which the door blocks access to the fuel access compartment, and a locking assembly configured to lock the door at the closed position. The locking assembly includes a catch fixed to the housing and positioned within the fuel access compartment, and a latch arm pivotably coupled to the door at a pivot point defined between first and second ends of the latch arm, the pivot point defining a first pivot axis, where the latch arm is configured to be pivoted about the first pivot axis to be selectively engaged and disengaged with the catch.
