VEHICLE SIDE PORTION STRUCTURE

The present invention provides a vehicle side portion structure including: front and rear side doors provided at a side portion of a vehicle that does not have a center pillar; a lock member provided at at least one side door among the front and rear side doors, the lock member being disposed at a vehicle vertical direction lower portion of the one side door on another side door side thereof and, when the one side door is closed, engaging with the other side door or the vehicle body to thereby lock the one side door; and a reinforcement member provided inside the one side door at the vehicle vertical direction lower portion thereof, with at least part of the reinforcement member being disposed on an upper side of the lock member so that the lock member is surrounded by the reinforcement member and a peripheral edge portion of the one side door as seen in a vehicle side view.

DUAL CABLE DOOR LATCH RELEASE MECHANISM

A door latch release mechanism for use in a passenger vehicle comprises at least one of a latch mechanism and a handle mechanism. The latch mechanism includes a first bellcrank with a first pivot axis and two mounting points. The handle mechanism includes a second bellcrank with a second pivot axis and two mounting points. The handle mechanism further includes a door handle having a third pivot axis, and a mechanical linkage connecting the door handle lever with the second bellcrank.

FLUSH COMFORT HANDLE

The invention relates to a handle device (10) for a closing device (80) for a movable part (70), such as a door, flap or the like, of a vehicle (100) comprising a handle part (20) which can be supported in a movable manner relative to the movable part (70). The closing device (80) can be connected to the handle part (20) via a connection element (16), and the handle part (20) is used to actuate the closing device (80). The handle part (20) can be moved at least between a rest position (Ia) and an operating position (Ib). In the rest position (Ia), the handle part (20) can be designed to be flush with the outer contour of the movable part (70) in particular, and in the operating position (Ib), the handle part (20) can protrude from the movable part (70) such that the handle part (20) can be gripped by an operator. According to the invention, the handle part (20) can be moved from the operating position (Ib) into an additional trigger position (Ic), in which a mechanical actuation of the handle part (20) can be transmitted to the connection element (16), whereby the closing device (80) can be actuated.

DECENTRALISED CONTROL UNIT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

A decentralized control unit of a motor vehicle, the decentralized control unit having a communication controller, which when installed, communicates via an antenna arrangement with a wireless communication network external to the vehicle by means of a mobile communication standard in order to provide a peripheral function. According to the invention, the communication controller, when installed, generates digital data signals in a preprocessing routine from antenna signals received via the antenna arrangement, and communicates the data signals to a central control unit of the motor vehicle via a communication network internal to the motor vehicle for completion of the peripheral function there.

Door handle device for a door of a motor vehicle, door, and motor vehicle

A door handle device for a door of a motor vehicle, with a bearing bracket attachable/attached to the door, with a door handle pivotally mounted on the bearing bracket, with an unlocking device that connects the door handle to the door lock so as to unlock the door lock upon actuation of the door handle, and with a blocking element, which is disposed on the bearing bracket in a release position releasing the unlocking device. The blocking element is at least partly displaceable into a blocking position preventing the unlocking device from unlocking so as to prevent opening of the door in an accident-related deformation of the door. It is provided that the blocking element is designed to be plastically and/or elastically deformable at least in sections such that the blocking element is movable into the blocking position at least in sections in the direction of the bearing bracket.

Closure system that resists separation when laterally loaded

An exemplary closure system includes, among other things, a striker assembly, a latch assembly, and a hooked structure. In response to the striker assembly and the latch assembly being laterally displaced from each other, the hooked structure engages one of the striker assembly or the latch assembly to block separation of the striker assembly from the latch assembly. An exemplary latching method includes, among other things, engaging a hooked structure in response to a striker assembly being laterally displaced relative to a latch assembly. The engaging blocks the striker assembly from separating relative to the latch assembly.
